Artist bio

Lorenza Wildcard discovered her talent during lockdown. Following the sudden and intense rupture of her relationship, she decided to put her feelings on paper as a way to process her emotional turmoil. Just 24 hours after writing her first song, recording her vocals accompanied by guitar on her mobile phone and sharing it with just four friends, she was approached by music producer Ettore della Campa and weeks later flown to a recording studio where her debut single “You & I” was produced.

Following the unexpected international success of her debut single, Wildcard decided to fully embrace her singing-songwriting career. With no musical education but with great intuition and an innate ability to create catchy melodies, she put together a support band and started gigging.

In 2023, Wildcard took residency at Headline Music Studios (UK), and started working with producer Piers Mortimer, who has collaborated with a wide range of musicians including established legends like Deep Purple and the Jamiroquai band as well as emerging unsigned artists, and with whom she felt she had the right professional chemistry. Wildcard is set to release more singles thought 2024.

Live Performances

After dropping four singles and a Remix in 2023, Lorenza Wildcard is set to release more singles in 2024 while continuing to do live shows with her support band delivering catchy melodies with outstanding and memorable performances. This is an exciting and promising artist to keep an eye on!

Lorenza Wildcard is a strong and prolific artist who again and again delivers great music in a way that is disarmingly honest and sincere as well as unapologetic.

Outspoken about her own life’s struggles and passions, and armed with courage, Wildcard has found an outlet for her vulnerability thru her intimate song-writing. While promoting empowering messages wrapped in catchy melodies, Wildcard is fast acquiring a devoted fan base called “Wildcards” and becoming an advocate for standing up for yourself, taking back control of life and a voice for changing cultural views over narratives that have been overlooked or misunderstood.

With a confident mindset and rebellious attitude, Wildcard is embracing her contradictions, vulnerabilities, talent and dreams with the power of reinvention showing us that she is not one to conforms nor comply. From raw, deep and uplifting to fierce, rebellious and energetic; with each of her releases we are witnessing a growth and an evolution at both a personal and artistic level.

Wildcard’s latest single “ Love & Cuss ” is about strong, fierce and independent women who are turning tables, changing narratives and rebelling against biases, misogyny  and " slut-shaming ".

Uninterested in genre labelling, conforming or complying, she is keen to let her artistry lead the way,

Ambitious in the genres she navigates, her music encompasses everything from pop, dance, americana, rock with blues elements and alternative rock with a reminiscent of punk, while never losing her trademark voice.

With a gritty but versatile timbre her signature vocals play with expressive cadences prioritizing the deliverance of a message by using passionate and heartfelt climaxes over showcasing power, nuance or vocal embellishments.

Obviously, there were moments, and still there are, when I feel like I am not going anywhere, that I am delusional and this can leave me feeling so swallowed up by it all. It’s funny though how you can feel all of those insecurities, yet become so incredibly determined to pull thru with a somewhat defiant attitude that turns into confidence.”
