WILDCARD IS TAKING US BY STORM!
LORENZA WILDCARD IS AN INTERNATIONAL SINGER-SONGWRITER RECOGNIZED FOR HER SONGWRITING, MUSICAL VERSATILITY AND ARTISTIC REINVENTIONS.
THIS IS AN ARTIST WHO’S BRILLIANCE AND ABILITY TO EVOLVE IS KEEPING US HOOKED, AND HER TWO NEW SINGLES, DELIBERATELY AND CLEVERLY RELEASED TOGETHER, ARE A TESTAMENT TO THAT!
SUCCESS IS NOT A COMFORTABLE PROCESS AND WILDCARD IS SHOWING US THAT SHE IS NOT AFRAID OF BEING HERSELF WHILE CROSSING MUSICAL GENRES.
WITH A STRONG, POWERFUL AND GRITTY VOICE SHE CONTINUES TO DELIVER GREAT MUSIC IN A DISARMINGLY HONEST AND UNAPOLOGETIC WAY.
STILL NEW TO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY, SHE COMES IN AS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR:
A TALENTED, SMART, WITTY ARTIST WHO IS CLEARLY PUTTING THE HARD WORK IN. BUT ALSO, REBELLIOUS AND WITH A RELAXED COOLNESS, WHICH HAS CREATED AN ELEMENT OF ALLURE AROUND HER IMAGE.
The Pitch: the story behind the music
Lorenza Wildcard is a strong woman and artist who took back control of her life from a narrative that got away from her, showing resilience and an openness that is disarmingly honest when talking about raw emotions. But this is also an artist who does not want to conform nor comply. She is comfortable talking about her vulnerable side, but she is also keen to show her fun, sensual, confident one, while continuing to speak honestly about what she is going thru in her life.
Because of this, there is an element to her fan-base where they feel like they are growing together. It does not come as a surprise that her releases are very carefully chosen to allow for her fans to come on a journey with her, almost as if they were reading her diary.
While with “You & I” we felt her sorrow and with “My Army” we felt uplifted and empowered, with “Call the Devil” and “Tequila (all I wanna do is dance)” we are shown confidence and wittiness.
“Call the Devil” is about rebuilding a life after it fell apart. It’s about pushing boundaries while testing societal rules and beliefs about how one should live their life. It’s about having a little daredevil fun, albeit never loosing site of values, dreams and goals.
“ Tequila (all I wanna do is dance)” is a sexy and powerful song. It’s about a confident woman who wants to go out dancing and have fun, who is comfortable playing with her sensuality but without seeking validation from others. She is dancing on her own and she is unapologetic about it.
Both songs play with the idea of being rebellious, but the audaciously witty lyrics are there to incite new and old gens to take back control of their lives and narratives, to be fierce and independent.
Musical style
In a relatively short span of time, Lorenza Wildcard has become one of most exciting voices on the music market and in the last year we have seen a whole new side of her.
Wildcard has definitely gone a long way from the classic pop ballad with a modern feel that is her debut single “YOU & I” (2021).
With the release of her follow up single, “My Army” (2023), we saw her move towards a more energetic and upbeat pop, rock, Americana sound defined by lashes of rock with folk hints, beautifully delivered by her support band.
Yet, Wildcard is not done surprising us!
With “Call the Devil” we are immediately gripped by the hard-hitting drum beat that carries thru the entire song injecting it with a rock blues sound. There are lashes of electrics guitar riffs, funky bass beats, folk violins and a confident gritty voice that ripples with sensuality and confidence. A long way from the sweet and light voice of her debut single.
With “Tequila (all I wanna do is dance)” we are once again pleasantly surprised by Wildcard’s undeniable ability to adapt and reinvent her image and her sound. The 100 BPM sets a dance beat that is hard and masculine: this is no bubble-gum dance music. The sound is electronic and all synth. With a mix of confident, sexy, high hitting vocals and catchy lines, she delivers a track that is hard not to dance to.
Artist bio
Lorenza Wildcard discovered her talent during lockdown. Following the sudden and intense rupture of her relationship, she decided to put her feelings on paper as a way to process her emotional turmoil. Just 24 hours after writing her first song and recording her vocals accompanied by guitar on her mobile phone, she was approached by music producer Ettore della Campa and weeks later flown to a recording studio where her debut single “You & I” was produced.
Following the unexpected international success of her debut single, Wildcard decided to fully embrace her singing-songwriting career. With no musical education but with great intuition and an unquestionable knack for making music, she got herself a support band and started gigging.
Wildcard took residency at Headline Music Studios (UK) in 2023. Having found a great producer in Piers Mortimer, who has collaborated with a wide range of musicians including established legends like Deep Purple and the Jamiroquai band as well as emerging unsigned artists, and she is expected to release a few more singles thru 2023.

“I’m a musician. I love making music and sharing it with anyone who wants to listen to it and it’s amazing that I have been able to share it with so many people around the world already.
