'Whenever I'm Away' by Lewej - 2006. With Mel Hayler all keys & e.guitar and Rob Grant bass guitar

This was my first collaboration with Lewej from Albuquerque USA. I was invited to add keyboards to what was initially a acoustic guitar and vocal song with basic drum beat.
I found myself also playing an electric guitar solo, keyboard sax, adding wind chimes and getting my good friend Rob Grant from Baltimore USA to write and play bass on the song.
The original tracks for the song were lost due to an error made at the Mckay's studio in Albuquerque. Back in 2006, Lewej were unable to re-record the tracks for certain reasons, so I had to build up the song around a downloaded mono mp3 from Lewej's MySpace profile. I sent Rob a rough mix of the song file, he then wrote and recorded a wonderful bass line which he then returned to me for the final mix which I did along with production to the best of my ability.
