billb summed it up quite well, seems to me. In a slightly uncomfortable way I enjoyed this. A lot. It is unique. I love the originality. Standing ovation from here.

I sat down, leaned back, and completely enjoyed this tune! It unfolds in a most interesting way, to me at least. Love the instrumentation. This was a pleasure and I appreciate you sharing this.

Love the floating guitars back and forth in the stereo field. Mighty fine guitar playing. A cool and interesting tune, too. I enjoyed this, Paul.

hahah, great track. its witty and rolls along nicely. i understand how the vocals are supposed to sound lo-fi, but i can't quite hear all the funny lines. :P sikk work.
This rocks nicely.
HAHAHAAHAHAH. Sorry, I REALLY shouldn't do that. Not everyone would get it.
What can I say about this song? Well it's my favorite by Wiz, and here's why.
It's not the mix, I think the mix is not very good, although it has much improved since it's first release. It's not the arraingement and selection of instruments. Not bad concepts in this one, the elements I agree with are the plucked string sound (cool if not odd choice), and I find the bass in this song very acceptable in context. Sure all these things could use some improvement, and enhancement. But really then again, 95% of all rap music really is that way anyway so...
The thing that makes this song a very good one is that it flows. And man it flows. The lyrics are written and performed in a way that it is damn near impossible not to tap your foot to it, or bob your head to it, or move something. You know that something is done right with a song if makes people sub-conciously move. I have pushed this song on a lot of people, and I have never heard one bad comment about it yet.
I avoided reviewing a lot of Wizard Sleeve music in the past because I find DnB somewhat riduculous in principle. For me a continual hyper-fast beat becomes it's own lack of dynamicism. I have to be in a VERY particular mood to be able to sustain it. I am trying to become at least guardedly open-minded to the genre, heh heh.
So imagine my suprise when I stumbled across this song on Myspace, and after the first chorus I was totally hooked on it. Loved it then, love it now. I hope Wizard Sleeve comes back to this one and redoes it all someday. Just to add the extra polishing edges.
In fact I wish Wizard Sleeve gave up DnB alltogether and came back to the Metal Nation full time. But that ain't gonna happen. Once you've popped a certain amount of Xstacy, you really never come back.
I'm not a rap fan, either, but this song is too farking good to blow off. Creative, indeed. That bass line is neat as hell. I am enjoying it.
my fav song, very cool. great idea. i like the melody in the back, goes in my ears. Great work - i love it.
hahahahahahahahaaaaaaa!! AWESOME TRACK!! Very cool song. Like Dazed, I'm not a rap fan, but this is pretty darn creative.......and CREATIVITY RULES!!!
Rob
I have to say Rap is usually not my thing but this tune was fun. Great idea using the phone call angle. I was actually thinking that from a video perspective it would be cool to show him on the phone, getting sucked into the phone, and then out on the other end. Reliving what had transpired. This way you could eliminate most of the "phone call plugin" and then near the end suck him into the phone again and add the plugin back.
Enjoyed the song!
