Dark Eyes ~ heard this song the other night on MixRadio & I LOVE IT
Love the feel of this tune. Very classy sax solo and I love the guitar licks in the background. Smooth. The vocalist has a bit of Chris Rhea in his voice. My only suggestion would be the hold the Dark Eyes part of the vocal longer - stretch it out a little. It seems a little choppy there vocally. Well written lyrics for this cool smoker of a tune. Enjoyed the listen.

Awesome production all over.
A top 10 tune!
Glad to see we finally got there Mel. There were a few hiccups along the way with Alexis and I having what are referred to in the music press as "musical differences". Fortunately, our longterm friendship was able to withstand those problems and we got through it. Thanks again, Mel for allowing me to be part of this and for being so patient with Alexis and myself. It's a work that I am really proud to have been associated with. Thanks, to everyone for the kind words. Mel and I are working on a new one but it still needs some work before I'm even willing to let her have a listen as I don't want her to take it back off me just yet. Maybe something next week if all goes well.

Boy, I thought this song was great originally, but this version has an even cooler/smokier sound. Instead of whiskey, now I'm dreaming of a margerita, maybe in a suit (won't happen, but that is the mood I get from this song). Great!!!

Great production sound a recording quality, entertaining song. Beautiful. The composition and studio sound reminds me of Steely Dan / DF, which in my book is excellent.
This song is a great achievement and all participants should be proud.
