Actually my song refers to the war in the Ukraine.

A cool live sound Bobby...it must be the room reverb. I get an image of your doing this on a stage at the local watering hole. Well done !

Bill, I like how you don't let any grass grow beneath your feet. Translation : You can change music styles and genres with ease and never skip a beat. A cool listen!...

Great when a collab works out so well. Both parties bring complementary skills to the max here. Congrats.

Who doesn't like a well played blues instrumental...I certainly do...but this is much more than a typical 12 bar blues. I heard it on JimAE's Mix Radio show last night...

It's a great collaboration. The song is really cool, my friends. The blues elements are a nice touch.

Absolutely phenomenal colab guys. Great composition Nigel and the guitar work by Rick is nothing less than spectacular. I've always loved this piece but now that I know the story behind it, it makes it that much more special for me.
Gabriel
great story in your preamble! Very emotive piece... big fan of Nigels inimitable style!!! great work all around!
My thanks to WHP and to Farell.
My thanks also to Rob for this spotlight, but my deepest thanks to you Rick.
Often it is not easy for me to tell the truth behind songs.
I tend to sing in riddles and keep things oscured in words.
As you can imagine, writing such a song for such a reason is not the easiest thing to do...
How do you express such a loss?
In this case,as is often my way...
I sat ataring out of the window and just put pen to paper.
Not angry at the gods or the fates, beyond that,on into sad acceptance that still at the end of it all, does not understand why.
As I built the song,Rick just kept coming to mind.
Right from the begining,I knew this was something I wanted Rick to play on.
So I was delighted when he said yes,to both lead and backing vocals.
But I didn't want to tell him the whole story, lest it make the load too heavy to carry,so,I kept it quiet, till I heard him play.
Listening,I knew...
Something had happened, somehow,in some strange way, something had found a way to make itself known and influence all that followed.
I still have not told my family of this song.
The time is not right, the pain too fresh, maybe one day.
But for me,it was just to mark the passing of such a young soul.
My thanks to you all.
Nigel.
Wow! I just looked and was surprised to see the song was over eleven minutes long. It didn't seem that long....I guess I got caught up in it :o) Good collab. Nigel and Rick and very meaningful....and a bit spiritual. Well done...and Rick, it was cool to hear the naration and explanation...it made the listening experience all the more interesting!
Farrell
Thank you guys,most appreicated
Nigel.
