The piano intro sounds great. Your vocals and words are really good also. The tremolo guitar chords are cool. Nice work!

This track has great lyrics and a meaningful message. It reflects our current times well. I looked online to understand its meaning better. As Farrell said, it's an excellent track...

"I LOVE MARIA'S VOICE!! {sigh} (turns up my speakers)
I did have the pleasure of hearing this before~ loved it then, and I still do! Awe, this is done perfectly! What a fantastic collaboration. I had read the lyrics again, and this is written so nicely, too. Wonderful guitar playing, and with the vocals it almost sounds like you both were in the same room! Oh, I adore this song!! Thank you for sharing it once again! ~BrAvO!!~ "
Carol Sue,
Thank you for your very enthusiastic review and support!
Maria's voice is the best And Paul's guitar master is always at the highest standard
Maria and Paul always produce amazing music for many causes with their heart and compassion intact.
Feel free to share this song far and wide.
Thank you for your support of many musicians Carol Sue. You are awesome

That's where songs like this need to go.
To those already converted to the cause of peace, such beautiful songs can act as a rallying call.

"We're in for the long haul"
Yes we are aren't we mate.
It's already been most of our lives, and it will be the rest of it.
I don't want one more generation to send children off to war.
If that makes me seem like I have anieve idealistic view of the world,so be it.
Because it is everyone's children we want to save from this man made atrocity.
Maria and Paul are a tour de force for the causes they champion, rather like you Zest, bit between the teeth and LOOK OUT!!
My maximum respects to you,to Maria and Paul (Man Songplanet seems like forever ago)
And,finaly my thanks.
Love can heal the world"
Hi Luca
First of all, thank you so very much for your "review" and thoughts on this song.
Peace Wins The Election was actually released on the original Mixposure and many other OMD's also. Maria actually wrote the song after listening to the Keep The Green Alive interviews. Maria and Paul made this song available to the members of KTGA to help promote the issues of environmentalism. Specifically in regards to sustainable living and renewable energy resources. Maria drew inspiration from those interviews and wrote the lyrics to succinctly mirror the essence of the interviews. Paul played the guitar and only used one overdub for the guitar solo. Their gift of Peace Wins The Election as a vehicle to bring more attention to these issues to the members of KTGA was another demonstration of their kindness and concern of many issues affecting us all globally. Peace Wins The Election is a song of truth, as you point out Luca.
Perhaps someday, someone will blast this song at an appropriate time, place and gathering. How do we get the right people to listen, then, act upon aiding to bring comfort to those in need? All we can do is keep trying. Yes, we are in for the long haul.
The want of peace now and for the children is a difficult prospect to ponder. On the one hand you have the converted, whom do rally this call and peacefully progress the message in artistic community activism. On the other hand, there are those whom we wish would not only listen, but, act upon the hope and want of peace. It seems it's a matter of a simple request, however, the complexities that are driven by the prospect of achieving peace make this a complex issue for all. The more we call for Peace, the more influence we can have by the very resonance that Peace Wins The Election brings to the universe. At least we are trying the best we can with limited means of media exposure. The generousity of people releasing their songs, their musical children into others care is an honour that I take seriously. In helping to promote this song, and all the songs of the Mantra of Peace music compilation, perhaps the independent music voice will be heard and make a positive impact. I think it's working....I hope so!
It is an honour for me to be a part of this journey with many awesome human beings contributing along the way. The people whom gave their time, energy and efforts to spreading the message through the hearts, souls and belief that Peace is possible. It's a total honour to be your friend Luca.
Let's get that bit between our teeth and continue to strive to help make this a better world for us all to exist in. Peace Wins The Election by Maria Daines and Paul Killington is an anthem for our times, it's time we listened....and acted....
Thank you for your kind sentiments of respect to Maria, Paul and myself. When you do that, you are actually sending respect to all in resonant peace....
Zest
P.S. It's never naive to want and understand that, "Love can heal the world". Great words Luca...as you say,
