I like the slow start that moves to the middle build up and back again. That makes for some great dynamics. Excellent vocals and a cool song (love the outro) to close the year out with, Eric!

Steve, This is a beautiful piece. I'm a big fan of the alto flute. It was a joy to hear Ali's playing on it. I also liked how you used a trio without drums. I hear this as giving more space for interactions between you and the bass. Your writing has nice touches throughout with surprises in harmony and melodic lines that express the best qualities of bossa nova.
I take the title to mean Mr Jobim but this is more of a jazz/bossa hybrid to my hearing - a whole lot cooler and sophisticated than Tom - somewhat more from the study than the lounge
Love this composition. Beautiful sound on the flute ( put me in mind of Hubert Laws tone ). - great stuff.
