This is great Randy Cline! A lot in the mix to hear. Cool dynamics...the rise and pull backs work great. Nicely done!

Through the first verse this reminds me of Harry Chapin's style (a compliment). But when the chorus hits it leaves Harry C. behind and it becomes BLJ's own unique style. Great vocals (all of them)...

Hi Mike, Love the new tune. The opening chord sequence hooked me. Great melody. Liked the guitars and arrangement. As to the sentiments of the song: I think that most of us, that make music, have at one time or another been faced with the indifference of friends and family to what we do. They don't really understand our passion for making music and often, to them, music is a nice but unimportant experience on the edge of their lives. Can't blame them for it I suppose. It's just life!
As amateur musicians, taking an interest in each others work is, I guess, what Mixp is all about.
Great song, keep them coming!
Cheers
Richard
First of all I REALLY LIKE THAT REFRAIN! Makes me melting like a icecube in front of a hairdryer. This tune comes like a warm summer breeze. Love the harmonies and chords too. Though there are some unexpected chord changes. But this is what the song makes interesting instead of floating on and on. Good job on arrangement and performance. Lyrics are GREAT! h.a.n.d. sebastian
Ahhh yes!!! The great lyrics combined with some awesome music and vocals by Mike Lynn!!! How could I resist??? I will be playing it on my special show today, starting at 3:30 pm ET!
What a great job!!!
Cheers,
Mike
VERY ENJOYABLE SONG--RELAXING WITH A NICE ACOUSTIC GUITAR SOUND AND SOFT VOCALS-THE ARRANGEMENT IS WELL ORCHESTRATED-LEAD WORK IS COOL--VERY NICELY DONE!
HI Mike,
What a great idea for a song I can understand and relate completely your friend done good with these lyrics. This is a super song. Very melodic and production is top notch with some sizzling guitar work. Really like how you open accoustically in the left ear and then come in with electric in the right. Well thought out arrangement and vocals sit on top of this. I have not been on mixposure Mike but this production sounds like you really have grown from earlier songs I have heard. Great work. Oh and a side story on your theme of this song. My brother who is a professional level musician had a Tape he did back in the 80's and it was studio quality with the full band. Well I played it at my house for guys on my softball team drinking/shooting pool and one of the guys said hey can we put some real music on! LOL!
Mike, how wonderful, I was really looking forward to hearing this. Love the guitar work, your vocals are so swwweeeeet, and perfect for this little song that takes you back to a time of dreams. You are really gaining strength my friend, and may these reviews fill you with confidance! Wishing you well, Melsi
