Thank you for the great comments folks. TBB, Farrell, Jim. You guys are extremely nice. Farrell, I'm very sorry to hear you and your mom went through this. My wife is a caregiver for Alzheimer's and Dementia patients and she tells me this song is the most sinister and truthful song I've written on this subject.
This is a real good recording of just you and your guitar Ron! Such a fullness to it. As far as the lyric content goes: I saw this gradual, yet ever increasing monster of a disease take hold of my Mother for 5 years until her passing....so it hits home with me.
Shades of Neil Young, with the power of one man and his guitar. I suppose it is the ultimate sign of human potential, to create beauty from the broken rocks along he shore. Nicely done, good sir.
Thanks Doug...I've talked to a number of people with this problem and they all say the same thing....hence the song
