My wife is a caregiver for Alzheimer's and Dementia patients and she tells me this song is the most sinister and truthful song I've written on this subject.
This is a real good recording of just you and your guitar Ron! Such a fullness to it. As far as the lyric content goes: I saw this gradual, yet ever increasing monster of a disease take hold of my Mother for 5 years until her passing....so it hits home with me.
Shades of Neil Young, with the power of one man and his guitar. I suppose it is the ultimate sign of human potential, to create beauty from the broken rocks along he shore. Nicely done, good sir.
