Hearts and Promises

Hearts and promises can break,
they open us up to feel.

Hearts and promises change their shape,
showing us something real.

Hearts and promises lovers make,
hearts and promises hold on.

Hearts and promises breathe and ache,
and keep us strong.

I made a promise to hold you close,
to love you all my days.

Through valley lows and mountain highs,
through all of life's winding ways.

Hearts and promises, hopes and prayers,
hearts and promises ring true.

When hearts and promises lift us up,
and guide us through.

Bridge

It's a promise of your love,
my heart's been aching for.

It's the promise of your love,
my heart is ready for.

Hearts and promises change with time,
yet this truth still remains.

Your heart and promise opened me up,
so I can love again.

Song Bio: "Hearts and Promises"

Some songs feel written. Others feel received.

"Hearts and Promises" arrived as a reminder that love isn't about perfection. Hearts break, promises are tested, and life changes us all. Yet somehow the things that cause us pain can also become part of our healing.

This song is about holding on, staying open, and finding your way back to love after you've been hurt. It's a quiet song, carried by simple guitars and an honest lyric, and I hope listeners find a piece of their own story somewhere within it.
