Devil to Pay was the very first song I posted on Mixposure and only the second time I had had a song played on any internet radio. I had a great time in chat and Bubba liked the track, but SAM squashed it flat and I wasn't over happy with the mix anyway. I have learnt a lot since then and have been putting a bunch of tracks together for revamping. This one has had to be redone from scratch and I added harp too. When I recorded the original track I couldn't play the blues harp.

Hi Ron. Nice to hear a blast from your past... Freshly painted Love that harp. Clear as a bell. Kind of has a motor-head feel to it... Which I love. I hope that's a complement for you. I hate to reference other artists. What i trying to say is I love the raw powerful blues based rock n roll that you do. Great track Ron

That harp certainly gives it a lot of depth on those verses. It fills the space nicely!

Used to play in many semi-pro bands in 70s, played bass for David Jackson (Van Der Graaf Generator) on some of his demo work. Have worked with Trevor Thornton - Drummer (Saxon, Asia), Ray Brookes - Multi instrumentalist and songwriter (Rory Gallagher Band), Kathy Short - Singer/songwriter (Kathy & the Short-List), Fred White - Drummer, Carol Sue - Singer/songwriter and guitarist, Ern and The TrueVulgarian - Singer/songwriters, Paul Rainbird (band mate from early bands) and Ricky Moore (Songwriter and guitarist). Played Windsor free festival on same billing as Hawkwind and met the late great lemmy. In the 80s played in "Shoot the Butler" who released an indie album, cut at Abbey Road. Back to gigging for a while, then the studio for a cassette release called "Final Curtain" by Flix. Wilderness for 10 years,. Now I am back writing and producing my own stuff. Cuts down on band disagreements :D
Thanks @gary-shukoski @carol-sue and @bad-love-junkie - much appreciated
