Crate Palomino 50W Tube Amp for $314
I saw this on a site I frequent and thought I would post this. It will not last long since it is a closeout at $349 - $35 (use promo code MF23) at Musicians Friend. Just click the picture to see the info. Harmony Central had some decent reviews on it. Great for Blues and Rock but probably not metal. Music123 has it for $699.
The Palomino V50 is a 50W, Class AB tube combo amp featuring 2 channels with independent controls, 2 - 12" speakers, and a footswitchable internal spring reverb. The Palomino V50 delivers vintage tube tone by the ton. The V50 combo amplifier also shakes off the standard black for a striking cream Tolex covering with gold trim.

The Palomino V3212 is an enhanced single channel amplifier for the tone and feel fanatic. It operates in Class A configuration, and generates 30W RMS through two 12" Celestion speakers. The enhanced Class A circuit runs four Groove Tube EL84s at full output at all times to deliver instant response and rich harmonics which are the hallmark of these classic circuit designs.The V3212 guitar amp has an internal footswitchable spring reverb unit to produce a huge, wet sound, and quite possibly may be the best sounding 30W class A tube amp on the market. This is a really good deal. MF Still shows a few left. Wow.
There's a slight rattle at very high volumes. Trying to figure out if it's the tube cage or what, but it's only slightly annoying. Would be a bigger deal if I was recording with the amp... but it's not gonna come through in a band setting, which is where I'll be using the amplifier.
Get one while they're still around.
It's loud enough to play with a band when the volume is at 10 o'clock.

LOL Farrelll! These are the kind of deals that kill me. Did I really need this? No. But at this price, I just could not say no. I figured if I ebayed my Carvin, my out of pocket on this is not going to be much. I love my Carvin amp but have always wanted a good Tube amp. I read that ZZ Used these for awhile and I tell you, I can see why. This is a great amp. The funny thing is that in a year, you could probably still sell it for more than you paid for it.

Joseph, Why not buy 3 of them for 15 watts of TUBE POWER? That's less than 1000 bucks.

Ked said I should change the power tubes to JJ so that may be an option. The reviews I read were outstanding on these amps. The only reason I added this here is due to the fact that this is a closeout that is not going to last. I was searching for a 50w Tube and nothing could come close to this price. Since I do not use an amp much, I thought this would be the way to go without having to drop $700-$1500 for a decent tube amp.

This is a pretty good amp....lot's of substance and meat for the original price...and a super bargain at this sale price. At $315...to find any other 2-12" tube amp is a near impossibility.
I think I actually saw a slightly lower price this summer at Guitar Center for a few weeks. CRATE is liquidating everything...so this is a discontinued model.
