Ok, here is the bottom line. Like these artists or not, they make more money doing one gig than most (and I emphasize MOST) indie artists make in a lifetime. It really doesn't matter if we like them or not, they are making a GREAT living at something they love doing regardless of genre (so they must be doing something right, right?). I think it all comes down to envy, a natural human nature. Like I've stated numerous times, I don't belong to ANY OMD site for numbers or fame, I'm here for friendship, nothing more.
Anybody that thinks they will be discovered by a MAJOR recording company or music supervisor is pipedreaming. These guys have a table full of material they have to go through every day let alone have time to visit an OMD site looking for new talent. This is fact.

Maybe theses Canadian artists should get together and do an album. They could call it Nickel-Beaver (the animal on a Canadian Nickel is actually a Beaver) ! Heheh A gold record in Canada is $100,000 copies, perhaps they may go Nickel (50 CD's )
Are they here at Mixposure? I'm not aware of any other music, or artists, other than those here at Mixposure.com, the Best in Indie Music! Ha, ha! The one dude does have a pretty cool name, though...

This blonde decides to go ice fishing one day. She carves a round hole in the ice, gets comfortable and drops her line in. An hour passes and she hears a DEEP voice from the skies "THERE ARE NO FISH UNDWER THE ICE". Startled she looks up but sees nothing so she puts her line back in the water and continues ice fishing. Another hour passes and she hears that same deep voice again "THERE ARE NO FOSH UNDER THE ICE!!!!!" .... Startled and confused, she stands up and yells out "Is this God ?" The deep voice replies one last time "NO THIS IS NOT GOD, THIS IS THE SKATING RINK MANAGER....THERER ARE NO FISH UNDER THE ICE !"

Interesting that the topic is who is more "popular" as opposed to more "talented". Not sure if I could answer either. But, hey, they are in the music "business" and seem to be doing quite well. More power to them! But I doubt that I'll be buying any of their tunes anytime soon.
....there's a widespread age difference. anyone below the age of 10 would have Bieber as thier fav.... anyone over 18 would of heard of Nickle bag...lmao...or maybe not! lol.

Uh guys...have some fun and lighten up
I don't like either one. But if i had to choose one band.....bieber you can dance to and his music is played in clubs, also good for pool paties. Nickelback sounds the same to me and usually only hear it on the radio late at night during long road trips.
I've tried mandolin since I own one. I like it when I here a great tune like some Zeppelin but it doesn't seem the same when I try. I'd blame it on the other band members...but I am the other members.
Sometimes just trying a different instrument helps spark the imagination it seems, at least for me. Well it did happen once I think.
I wish I could afford a lot of different spark makers.
