October Updates

Repost from the newsletter but I will post it in case anyone has questions or comments.

As most of you are aware, we wanted to expand Mixposure a bit and put in some additional features. One of the things we will be adding in this week is a Product Review Area. I have been testing it over the last few days and I think it will be pretty cool. You will have the ability to write a product review on any gear you own and rate it accordingly. This will help out our existing members for making purchases or staying away from products that you think just suck. Now the cool thing about this is that with a few modifications to this code, we should be able to make a pretty sweet For Sale Area where you can sell your gear.

Per our last message, we are still looking for some writers! I received a bunch of questions on this so I was probably not as clear as I should have been. By writers, we are looking for the equivalent of Magazine Writers/Authors. Have a passion about the music industry? Want to share that passion? Maybe you work in the industry and have suggestions to help artists break into the industry? Do you work as an audio engineer and want to share your mixing and mastering skills? Do you attend a lot of concerts and would like to review them? We have many musicians on here with a wealth of knowledge. We are looking for members to share that knowledge once or twice a month. What is your passion? Want to share it? Hopefully this answers any questions you may have. If you are interested, please message me at admin@mixposure.com and let me know what your ideas are. We are really open to the idea of musical content in general and I feel we have so much expertise on Mixposure that we do not need to look external.

Thanks!

Dazed

I'd be willing to help with singing,I do have a "Unique" voice LOL.............
If not comfortable doing the guitar thing, perhaps Digger and Nigel could give a few vocal tips... maybe?
And I would certainly tune in to Marky, or whoever it would be, for guitar tips, too.
This is a great idea.
i would deff tune in markyone!
Due to time constraints basically setting up a new band myself, I'm gonna be dropping the reviews and visits to a bear minimum in the forthcoming few weeks.
I lay no claims to be a brilliant guitar player, just a jobbing one. I'll be quite happy to give a few ideas on how I work guitar wise. If that fits the bill
all the best
I am all for this guys! If anyone would be interested in doing this I would have it setup in a second. Any takers?
I may take up guitar if someone shows me how to use it right LOL
Yes,all instruments if possible.
For us one man band types, insights would be most welcome.
hey!
let's not leave out the guys who play the keys here!
I'm just sayin, wolf is great, Gabe is great! to only name two!
could you imagine if artist like this started laying out lessons here! 1 to 2 times a month!
i would prob. take up the keys! hahahahaha
again, just thinking out loud....
that's what i'm sayin!
Great idea Digger.
It could be illustrated by something like youtube vids to demonstrate certain techniques as well?
you know, i was thinking a how do i play { bla, bla, bla }section would only benefit mix as well as all the ideas you folks have about the writers doing there thing here.
I'm just saying! there are some bad ass guitar player here that are very involved with the mix that if they were interested in passing along there knowledge of the guitar to folks through a thread that could really be helpful, i think this too would only help to make this the one stop place for all muso's on the net!
just thinking out loud...
Thing is,I have had a lifelong passion for music...
But I don't know what I could help with?
(Shrugs shoulders)
agreed nigel!
man i sware i would be all over this if i didn't suck! at the guitar...lol
peace,
Yes,likewise.
What we need is a top notch guitarist like Joseph,Kephas,or the M3 players...
HAHAHAHA! the only thing i know about singing is push from your diaphragm and whatever comes out! that's what you sound like as a singer...lol
but i guess if i was asked a specific question i would be more then happy to try and answer it.
Bilbozo? Ked? There are tons of guitarists on here who could do it.
