FTP Upload for Mixposure Subscribers?
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">This is a topic we have discussed before in the past and I wanted to get some input from the members here. Alexis sent me a message asking about this and I thought we might as well discuss it. We had this conversation a few years ago but at the time, we were not in a position to proceed. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">As most of you know, we currently have a free FTP setup for members to be able to upload zipped files of individual song tracks to make collaborations easier. Unfortunately everyone has access to it. What we are considering doing is for Mixposure Subscribers is allowing them to have their own ftp server. This way it is more secure and you have better control of it.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">I know many use other sites that are free or cost money. I also know these sites spam the hell out of everyone they get an email address from. This would be part of the subscription and would just be an added benefit. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Would you guys use this?</span></p>

For me,for collabs use,i better use "Dropbox" is better than any ftp thingy.
Basically what I am going to do is setup an FTP account for the members. You will be able to use it as you like. I am going to try and get this setup this weekend.

Would we be able to use to send to non-Mix collaborators?

Without a doubt I would use it! I send a lot of tracks in various forms to fellow musicians here at Mix. Some go via email (depending on file size) but most go by yousendit. Although yousendit is currently free, it would be great to have that option here as well. Yes I would use it.
