Grammy Awards
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Well the Grammy's are on tonight and I am always amazed at how few people actually watch them, especially among musicians. With the death of Whitney Houston, I would suspect that the ratings will be extremely high for the awards show. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">So will anyone be watching? </span></p>

I watched it and was kind of amazed at some of the performances. When a musician can come out with a guitar or guitar and keys and blow the place away, we are talking talent. Foo Fighters rocked. Niki Minaj...not so much. Worst performance I have ever seen including small pubs. You can make anything fancy and shiny but if you have talent, you will always shine.
David G. from the foo fighters had a great acceptance speech...that was the only thing i got from it, along with some great hands on performances....the only truth that was present IMO., the rest was superficial garbage as usual....
I watched the Grammys off and on.....flipped back and forth......there are always some musical performance highlights that amaze me and then there are others that don't....usually the don'ts out number the do's so I'm never one to watch it from beginning to end.
Whitney Houston's life was a tragic story with a terrible ending......but we've heard this same story before with stars in the spot light. It seems they (including all involved with their career) hide it so well that the right help never comes in time......a real loss of life, talent and a shame.

I watched it in it's entirety. It was a great that they had lots of guests, but it overshaowed the awards which were few. We all know there are many Grammy Awards more that are not televised. It was a good balance in tertms of the tribute to Whitney. I thought it may be full of gloom but they actually kept it quite positive and what was mentioned and perfoirmed of her was tastefully done.
