Hey Everyone! Slowly we are getting everything added back in. The goal of this new layout was due to a lot of feedback we had that the site was too complicated to navigate. I was not seeing that but when you work in it everyday it flows lol. With the changes coming from your page, I find it a lot easier to use then the old control panel.
It is my hope to add new audio players in the not so distant future. We will also have Facebook embed available as soon as possible. We will also try and add a lot of missing features from the old site,
We are now on a new server that is obviously an upgrade over what we had previously. The down time we experienced was due to seven years of data on our servers that we had to transfer to the new server. Our apologies for the delay. Originally I had hoped for 12 hours allowing me ample time to do some tweaks before we opened it back up. After being down as long as we were. I just wanted to be back online. So you guys are experiencing the worst part of code release. Bugs in the live environment. We will get them resolved

Hi Guys - thanks for all the hard work. Just wondering how to get to the songs I had hidden on my artist page. I quite often used to hide songs when using the site to promo my songs to local musicians (ie: when answering band advertisements). I would like to get access to these again as they are my musical library. I had also just upgraded to be able to include more songs on the site - are the hidden songs still accessible?

When I try to send a new note in reply to a follower I get this...
Invalid User - please enter a valid user to send a private note to
Recipient
Select the user you would like to send this Private Note to.
NOTE: You can only send a Private Note to site admins and followers.
I have also tried it with the "@Name" but still no go. Is there a trick to doing this?

I've simply made the "lastest songs" from my the music menu as my main pop-up page...after all, it's about the indie music for me...the cover of the book isn't what i'm interested in.
I like the changes that have been done...i go over there once in a while to see em.

Also, when clicking on the Music tab on the main page and choosing the Newest songs it only has 1 song listed. By Plays and By Ratings are full of songs, but Newest seems to only have the last one that was uploaded.
I agree with Darkreine. I like the new look, in a way, but it does seem a bit awkward to navigate. I was here in the beginning from Guitaristworks, so I do remember all the changes and how everyone was so eager to jump right in and get acquainted with the new features. I applaud 100% to all the efforts the Admin. team is making. I'm not a web designer so I know nothing about what it takes, but I can imagine it's not an easy task. I think the FAQ would be a good start.

we have never stored credit card details and frankly never will. That is just an area we want not want to be involved in.
As for current area, just click on Foxy Cart on your artist page > subscriptions and your current account info will be at the top.
I still can't access my real account details ..ie, what sort of account I presently have and more importantly my credit card details.

On the home page I put my mouse on the first couple of menu tabs..Artists..I then get a top artists spread menu ..how do you tell who's a top artist,is the criteria just plays or what? - Top Artist is by user ratings - same as it was before
...then passing that I get to the Music tab...same deal..by plays,by rating,music charts..etc etc etc... Same as it was before on the old site

I have no idea where to start..this place seems to have gone onto a chart,sales,supermarket footing..this isn't a condemnation just a first impression..I hope I'm wrong!
lyrics will be added back in. I just did not like the look of where they were at.
Apparently there will be an update soon (windows 8.1) that will revert these changes. That free service pack is a few months away at best though.
Durod, If it runs slow then it is not the fix i posted. Purely because I know of 14 other people now using it.
Chrome always works as it comes with flash/html5 support off the bat, whereas the windows 8 stuff does not, purely as microsoft decided that they wanted publishers to be more "touch" friendly. If a website does not have 3 different versions of itself "touch", "no plugins", "plugins" then it wont open it, if using IE10.
Tried Google Chrome and everything works great, including music player. Noticed that all my song lyrics are gone
Player works on my Kindle Fire HD, but not on my brand new computer! This is switch!
The player is still hit and miss, which is kind of confounding. It plays one artist's songs but not the next. If this is the result of some kind of built-in quality filter I fear no one will hear my songs... hehe
When I went to F12 developer tools and changed my internet setting to IE10 compatibility mode, the music player works, but my internet works EXTREMELY slow while in this mode; so this is not a viable option. Hopefully there will be a fix for this. Is anyone else having this problem??
For those of you on Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8 the following "fix" will help you.
Due to some funky coding you will have to follow these steps.
Windows 8 Tablets/netbooks sadly at the moment are locked.
Windows 8 (32bit and 64bit)Home, Pro, Enterprise Only.
Open Internet explorer 10 - Make sure this is the desktop version and not the version that looks like the Metro screen. The metro version is also locked out of this quick fix.
Once you have it open go into settings - The clog like icon the top right of the browser. And you will find something called F12 Developer Tools (this can also be accessed pushing F12) Click on this link.
This will open a funky looking bar at the bottom of your screen. Dont panic this is normal. You will find in this bar a button that says Browser mode: IE10. Hover your mouse over this and click it - Change it to the "IE10 Compatiability mode" or IE9 make sure to close the bar with the little X - This will temporary Fix your browser to enjoy mixposure. I am unsure if you need to do this everytime u open mixposure, but it is the only fix i could find.

Basically it'll fix itself.
Checked the microsoft forums for you. Apparently for certain parts of the code to run on windows 8 RT (like the tablets and low end budget pcs) the website needs to be approved on the microsoft CV listing for it to play all the content on that website (HTML 5 or Flash). For professional versions or 64bit versions of windows 8 this can also be an issue if at any point the plugin on the website has undergone a change or in other cases, been reported as not working via the built in bug reports in IE for windows 8.
Windows 8 IE uses the metro tileset. Its probably not registering snippets properly on the player. Because it would not work with my vers of windows 8
Win 7 IE10 works for me. Anyone have Win 8 that can try and duplicate?
Music player still won't work. Only thing that works is the radio player. I'm using Windows 8 and internet explorer. Is there something I'm doing wrong??
Might want to disable the profile name edit box, apparently i was able to edit DJ_JEZZA to say MAD_MARAUDER - Thus changing my username to mad_marauder, and deleting the page for a few secs till i edited it back to DJ_JEZZA. Very intresting :p
Hey Tony no we are not going anywhere. Just did a huge site move/upgrade. Charts are under music. All old embedded plays will no longer work. We will be hopefully rolling out new ones soon.
I thought the site had shut down and cancelled my Silver A/C in Paypal. The links I'd saved to my Mix Site went nowhere, the flash players ceased working on my external sites. Now where have all the Chart positions gone? I can only find the top 20. Thx Tony
oh nvm seems to be an intermittent issue. no biggy!
I think it might of already been mentioned that u cant play the songs directly off the "song" listing. u have to open the song to its individual page first before the play button works. Tested in Safari, Chrome and firefox on both my mac and windows 8 pc just now to make sure. Great job though, seems to be smooth.

as a quick fix, if you modify a song it will move to the top. so update your last song first and you can sort how you like. Obviously not a great solution but one that will work in a pinch. If you have 100 songs I apologize
Chrickon - Modify an existing tune and then you can create albums from there. When you click on the album links, all songs will display with the player.
I am working on a sort feature.

Assuming Dazed still wants trouble-shooting reports, I've found that while I can play artist's songs right off their "audio" display, when I click on a specific song which brings up the player (and volume control), it won't engage, just sitting there mocking me! Perhaps I'm taking this to personally? Just sayin...

Was working, It plays- I could uplosd a song last night but this morning it went back to errors files ending in 0-maybe its my system-
error file ends in 0 but they dont-mybe the upload gets stopped during the process-beats me

Although this all looks very confusing to the already confused (LoL), you've always steered us in the right direction Dazed.. And I for one, have always appreciated what you've done here.. I applaud you for all the time you spend, trying to make everybody happy .. I'm looking forward to the dust & bugs to clear (have enough of that in AZ.), But seriously ?.. I think it's going to be great when it's completed & you get those "user manuals" sent out..(mine anyway) hehehe.. I've gotta tell ya', I'm having withdrawals.. Mixposure is my drug of choice!.. YES.. Even the Princess has addictions..

The chat player works for me but not my page nor home player works. I'm using Firefox but also tried Safari and got the same results. I'll give it a couple of days and check back again. Until then...happy trails to you all!

You have given so much and have had to endure so much when it was working and during the changeover and restart. And This must be a non-profit organization. Nobody's getting rich, they're getting enriched. People I thought were the Shags of music have turned out to be most interesting, down-to-earth, appreciative folks. They have endured much and given up much and yet they are attractive like a moth to flames. I am just in awe of the crowd, a crowd that is as much at home on the stage as in the audience.

cool. I just logged in and thought I had messed up some settings. No biggee now that I read this message. simple is always better. I hope to be back on here regularly in the not so distant future as I am looking to go back in the oil field dispatch scene very soon. this will free up time and get me more motivated in playing and listening here.
