you know I understand exactly what you are saying. Songs are sometime better left to interpretation. The reasons are simple. Many times your meaning is deeply personal and you would rather not go into a detailed explanation about something that could have been a very difficult time in your life. The other could be that you just tossed some stuff in and their interpretation is far better than what you would have ever come up with hehe.
I remember hearing about Trains Drops of Jupiter and it just sounded like a cool song until you read the lyrics closely and find out it is about his mom passing away. Still a great song but obviously deeper than what wist would ever consider.
