Just wanted to let everyone know that we will be changing up Mixposure a bit in the next few days. While I love what we have done over the years it is time for a change. The layout here is, and let's be honest, a bit of a cluster. We will try and retain some of the current functionality but some things may end up in the Mixposure graveyard.

As I said on Facebook, think clean! A big thanks to WildCherry for getting on me to make some changes. You really are the love of my life .

Hi Everyone,

Any Janis Joplin fans out there? I thought this might interest you.

I´ve done a remix of an unreleased version of "MOVE OVER" from the PEARL album.

I think some of you might like it.

You can check it out here.

http://www.indabamusic.com/opportunities/janis-joplin-the-pearl-sessions-remix-contest/submissions/98669

All the best,

DICARLO

It's now been 8 months and change since we "rebuilt" the band from the ground up, renamed it and have done just a ton of shows...we're now a tight, clean, pop-prog machine...and no we have no interest in becoming another Tool clone...buzz is building in our little corner of the world, and everything is right as rain...

The band is getting ready to record it's debut ...we'll have 14...or 15 tracks depending, and we will be self producing it, with outside buss mastering and final mastering... artwork will be done with help as well...expect it to be done somewhere early summer...

With the addition of Cliff and Glenn, our focus is now towards writing in a more pop/ AOR arena, but still with an emphasis on real musicianship, and flair for power pop progressive rock...Cliff is turning out to be a great lyrical colaborator as well, and our themes will continue to morph as the band grows tighter...

see us on Facebook...

and check out our live videos of band on it's way up...

Peace, Rob/ Digital Chemistry

About the song:

DrC - all keyboards, drum programming, and mixing/production.

Gary Carciello - all guitars and bass.

Farrell Jackson - all vocals, melody and lyric.

Note: If you are wondering where Rob Grant is....well not to fret. He's on a temporary hiatus and will be back.

This is our 3rd song of the year so far. It's a driving classic rocker called Lightfighter that sounds like it was transported right out of the 1970's into 2012. Gary does some great guitar work with nice harmony guitar riffs and a hot solo. DrC's B3 is still smokin' from the excellent keys he's placed in this song. Me....I get the music, write some lyric, find a melody, and sing it to the song. If you hear a little Uriah Heep influence here that's fine by us, we heard it also, lol.

About the lyric: It's a story of an imaginary group of warriors called Lightfighters that are more than imaginary. It's also a tale of a young man that was selected to become a Lighfighter based on his charater and bravery.

We hope you like it!

Farrell Jackson for Rayon Vert

I try to do something in almost every genre to be as rounded a player as I can ! I have been playing in various local bands for about 15 years. When the digital recording age came along I built a home studio and began to learn recording, Acid Looping and combining those elements together to create grooves and compositions. I have a business and a family but I continue to be a weekend warrior playing in a Classic Rock Band for fun and fuel my passion to write grooves, soundtracks, jingle bites and ambient compositions. This is my Hidden Mission !

I also want to thank Frank from Stratage Guitars for providing me the opportunity to own the finest tool for my music compositions. Whether you are playing live or in the studio, Stratage Guitars are nothing short of amazing. I love using my Averon Custom Shop in the studio. It produces any tonal possibility, from sparkly clean warmth to beefy blues tones, smooth jazz sounds, right down to heavy rock grit and everything in between. Stratage produces sonic technology and innovation that re-defines a guitar players true needs, beyond expectation. Truly the most versatile guitar I have ever had the pleasure of playing To learn more about these incredible guitars and basses, visit www.stratageguitars.com

Looks like it is time to do the next site song. The question is, what do we want it to be? Acoustic/Electric? Same Song Title Madness? Something else?

We had a lot of songs submitted for the Country Songs and I would like to get a great turnout for this one. So please chime in with what you would like to do!

If you have never done one of these, here is how it works.

Same Song Title Madness: We post a poll with song names suggested by members and vote on a winner. Everyone will then have 4-6 weeks to write s song using the chosen song title. Vocals are not mandatory but obviously help sell the tune a bit better. The outcome is 10-20 songs with various genres all using a common theme.

Acoustic-Electric requires an acoustic guitar be added to a song. This usually aids in collaborating with other artists on Mixposure. We can also incorporate the SSTM and make it acoustic-electric.

So let's hear what you guys want to do!

Thanks,

Todd

This one takes me back to playing heavy rock, with a little darkness with a couple of rays of sunlight...and thats the daily forecast for today heheh. The modern world has changed with technology and is such a busy place. This tune seems to personify it that way, with perhaps the hope that we'll find time to smell the roses and have a fresh outlook for the future. Live your days like it's your last...now is as good as it gets. I hope you like this song. Best heard cranked with a drink in your hand ! Comments are always welcome.
I just wanted to express my thanks to Mike Aurigemma and Randy at Sam Ash. After a little bit of dicussion, they helped me secure some new recording gear. It was time to make some upgrades and I was just not sure which would be my best bet. Mike made it easy ans had some great suggestions.

Thanks guys for making this purchase pretty easy!
