Hi all! Do check out my article on common sense saving while producing, promoting, and packaging music online. It is a brief, basic summary of sorts that may be helpful to you based on my observations in the five years that I have been promoting music online.

http://www.bukisa.com/people/ken_myers

I hate the thought of even bringing up reviews but I was asked about this again so I thought I would make the change for those interested.

So members have said Mixposure is very kind on reviews when they were really looking for critical reviews. To try and resolve this issue, we have come up with the following solution. When creating a song, you will see a field called Review Feedback Type. There will be 3 entries in the drop down Normal, Constructive and Critical. If you are fine with the normal Mixposure Review Process, leave the default value of normal. If you choose any of the other three options, on the review form an image will appear with the review type requested. Not sure if we need all these values? Thoughts?

Now the one thing I will say is that if you request a Critical Review, please do not expect roses and a card. Mixposure has many professional musicians and if requested, they can and will critique a song to your expectations. If you do not like a review however, please just delete it. Sending a message to the reviewer telling them they do not know what they are talking about means you have chosen the wrong type of review feedback to receive.

Now the good thing about this is that if you are a beginning musician, you probably do not want to put down Critical for your review type. You might want to put down Kind until you work on your skills!

Please feel free to comment!

Exposing the Mix.....Mixposure

Since there aren't many folks here that are true country and/or hard core country, is there any way to attract those type people here?

This leads me to wonder, in a much broader view, how people find Mixposure in the first place. I found Mixposure through links on another independent internet radio site that I belong to....fortunately for me. But, if I do a Google search, for example, and look for online independent radio sites, I don't find Mixposure (or at least not on the first few pages....didn't look any further). I would think Mixposure would be the first thing that comes up and if not, then why not? I realize that this site is much more than just an online radio site but if you were searching for such things you wouldn't come across Mixposure. That concerns me. How many people are missing out on this awesome place....hundreds....thousands.....millions? I don't know.

So, I'm just wondering.....

How many members does Mixposure currently have?

How is Mixposure advertised and/or seen by search engines?

Is there any way to get Mixposure more exposure?

I've updated my song "Time's Up" to now include the bass track and my first take at the vocal track. I'm still dealling with the sinus junk that's affecting my ears and voice, so it's definitely NOT a final take on the vocals. I'm also going to add in some harmony vocals on parts of the chorus for the final mix, but I'm not going to work on any of that until I'm completely over this sinus infection.

Anyways...it's out there, so you can let me know what you think. Hope everyone has a blessed week!

I was recently approached by a wonderful songwriter/musician Frank Prenevost, to see if I would be interested in writing Country lyrics for him! This is the first of many called Just Like Coming Home! Got my yeehaa boots on! x
