One of many letters I received stated how much a person liked one of our songs. It was nice. You see, it's all about the music. Let's not forget, myself included, we are Indie Musicians that are not signed and everyone on this site, IMusicSchene, SountClick, etc. are nothing more than "Flashes In the Pan", EVERYONE OF US, regardless of our history or we would be swimming in money if it was anything else. We do it because we love to do it and not because everybody loves our songs. Sorry, but that's the way it is and there's no argument agaist it. This will become a blog entry so that we don't take ourselves too seriously.

Four Wise Monkies

By Phillip Hartley, 2008-06-10
Four Wise Monkies

Hi everyone. Just thought I'd let you know, I have a brand new song uploaded. Four Wise Monkies is a bit of a departure for me as it's a blues number of which I don't do many. I hope you like it.

Cheers, Phil

We've got a new one called My 55 Cheverolet! It's been awhile but it's a fun one!

This is a song I wrote about the feelings I get when I cruise in my 55 Chevrolet (song picture ). It's an old style rock n' roll shuffle but updated with some different chord changes and instrumentation. With Gary's excellent guitar work and DrC's great keyboard playing and production skills, it cruises down some roads less traveled for an old rock n' roll song.

As always it was a pleasure working with these guys and I had a blast belting out the vocals to this song.

We sincerely hoped our good friend and collab mate, Rob Grant, would add his precise, melodic bass playing and his ever insightful production ideas but given the current circumstances, Rob chose to sit this one out. We missed him on this song but when he gets back, watch out!

This is a bit different style compared to our other collab songs but we hope you enjoy it just the the same.

Thanks from all of us!

iMucScene Interviews Keith Miller

Tonight is the night! iMusicScene is proud to announce an evening with Keith Miller.
We will be featuring the songs off of Keith's new CD, Over the Abyss. The show
will start at 9:00PM EST so please tune in to iMS Radio and join us in
the Chat Room! To keep the chat secure, we do require an iMS Account. Signing up is FREE and you can sign up as an Artist or as a Listener. This is some mind blowing guitar work everyone. Keith is endorsed by some major companies and has played NAMM. That in itself is an accomplishment considering the caliber of players at that event!

From Keith's Bio -
Born with a love for music, Keith Miller started playing the viola, and then the violin in grade school at the age of 9. Keith dreamed of playing the guitar and his parents agreed that if he learned violin that they would get him a guitar. Keith worked hard and got a 6-string acoustic guitar for Christmas when he was 12. He then taught himself to play by learning chords from a chord book.

Keith advanced to writing his own songs and formed his first real band, “The Patriots”, in the 6th grade. The “Patriots” evolved into “Faith” a very good and promising band that Keith continued to play in until after high school when the band broke up. Keith continued playing violin though Junior High and sang in the choir in Junior High and High school.

In 1990 Keith Miller enrolled in Musictech College of Music in Minneapolis. Always desiring to be more proficient as a guitar player and a better musician, Keith strived to master the guitar and music theory. After graduating from Musictech College of Music, Keith has kept himself busy with music by playing in bands, as well as doing recording/studio work. “PLEX’D” one of Keith’s most noted bands, received rave reviews in national magazines as well as some label interest. Keith also worked with the distinguished producer, Ira Ferguson. While Keith still plays with “PLEX’D” and has plans for future side projects, his main focus now is that of a solo artist. With that, he has released two successful albums, “Groove Train.” and "CHALK". Both CD's have been receiving great reviews and have charted in the top 10 most popular and best selling Instrumental Metal CD's on both Guitar Nine Records and CD Baby. "CHALK" was also picked at #4 for Best Instrumental Release of 2004 by ©QUINTESSENCE METAL

Hope to see you there!
Additionally, I took the liberty of uploading a 30 second clip of one of Keith's new songs.
