I like the guitar tuning, Rich. Low, mellow and ringing out. Great vocal and melody to go with the soft music. Great use of your falsetto vocal a couple of times!...

This is cool Randy! I haven't heard a talk box used in a song for a long time and it sounds good. Excellent playing and work on this song .

Self Tort,
I Hate Homework is a song that expresses the multitude of distractions that children face today in their plight to concentrate on the values of education.
Your lyrics give the listener an insiders look at modern children and the distractions they face in their plight to gain an education.
I enjoy your vocal stylings that give your lyrics a punctuality that gives imagery of a frustrated individual balancing the sacrifices that are required to maintain a positive direction in attaining an institutionalized education.
Your use of melody and instrumentation allow the listener to be taken on this journey of balance in the stormy seas of responsibility.
Good instrumentation and memorable melodies.
I guess I best be gettin' back to my work in my home now
Thank you for uploading this very thought provoking and educational song.
Cheers,
ZEST
I did`nt really expect to "dig" this one Brian, but how wrong can a girl be? it sounds like a classic, truly...I remember being in the classroom drawing maps of Australia and having to put it all the states...ahahaa, what a hoot!! This song has a great vibe, and it`s a topic I`m sure most of us relate to...Very well sung, love that "string" section? towards the end...A very enjoyable listen...Thanks,
Peace n love mags xx
No matter what genre' Brian, one thing always comes thru very clearly..........the passion you possess for making incredible music !! It's always a great pleasure to listen to your creations !!!!!
cheers,my friend,
Larry
I'm convinced you can do it all Brian, and always with style. Excellent presentation and instrumentation. Love the string plucks, and keyboard parts that give the song the atmosphere that blends so well with everything else. Love what you do with progressions. Great song mate...another one! You just never quit...never want you to. ~Blake
It's one thing to write a song that has a great theme-hook-resolve for the general masses...BUT to write a song for children HAS to be the hardest of them all.(IMO) well one that would grasp there attention long enough to have it sink in...and better yet, join in half way through and participate with the sing-a-long atmosphere you have created. (I hate homework) lol...pretty clever take there Mr B, ...not too many kids do!true!
I thought this was very well done..not to difficult..but just enough grown up feel in the format to make the youngest feel a little more than a ploy to eat there vegetables. excellent work. great foresight.
I agree with Rob about the pudding analogy. Very creative endeavour Brian. You prove that you can step outside the box and do anything your imagination comes up with. Bravo!! I love the whole concept!
Brian.......I just love the accent sung on this song. It gives this song a whole lot of atmosphere.....kind of a "please sir, may I have some more pudding".....very dramatic. I love the musical theme and instrumentation......Brian, you are a Wizard!!! GREAT TRACK!!!
