Ah,gambling...
I was raised by my grandparents, and grandad was a horsies man
I never have been a gambling man,I took at lok at those who went in the bookies door and what the bookie drove up in and saw that was a definate no winner LOL
Loved the strory of you rediscovering this and others.
Pricelsss and irreplacable.
Excellent vocals and lyrics...
It "Feels" like full on progressive in it's sum total.
The themes, the change of pace, quite omplex as well.
But at the heart of it,like all good songs, there are some simple truthes about human nature, some for betterment, and some not so,and I guess you see quite for the not so in your job
Excellent track mate, for me it felt fresh and striding out across the years.
Nigel.
Very interesting contrast in this song. vocals, music, and atmosphere.
Superb!
I was listening along, enjoying it but wondering why you'd given
it "progressive rock" genre, instead of something else like reggae.
Then at 2:19 I heard the answer.
I can't say I've heard reggae combined with prog rock in one song
before but you make it work quite nicely.
Soulful, character-filled vocals, with very tight instrument work.
This is my first listen to your stuff.
Looking forward to hearing more.
Hot vocal sounds over a cool reggae vibe. Seamless changeups/downs to prog are definitely unsual but effective. Great song!
Brian, Brian, Brian, You sly fox. This song just has one hell of an interesting set of dynamics. Just when I was about to sleep to the rythmn of that reggae lilt, you wake me up with those unexpected twists and turns and manage to pin down my attention all through out the song!!!
yeah!
Great song and performance Brian. Always enjoy listening to your songs. KB
Brian...you did it again!Stunning performance...top notch vocals,i love this song!
Great sound...excellent production!I like your guitar lead, section sounds very progressive...some Steve Howe vibe.
Yeah!!!5 stars from me...awesome progressive song!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gary C
My favorite part is the singing, you seem to have built the background that perfectly matches it. All these simple sound are merely enchanting.
Hey - this is way cool!!!!! Just excellent vocals man! Some interesting changes too. You've got a great groove going on. Are you playing live around Sydney?
Cheers
Rob
Let me raise a margarita as I imagine myself on a beach in Jamaica! I don't believe I have ever heard prog and reggae mixed together. Excellent creative track ... wow some serious music happening here! Hey I thought I cornered the market on the Zappa like changes. LOL! I love this man ... Bravo!
Hey Brian, you're voice exudes a wonderful spirit... and you have some great muscial chops to go with it... I'm a fan man! Imaginative stuff that sounds really great.
This doesn't sound like Queen?! lol
Brian...you never disapoint!
You are by far the best song writer on this site!!
EXCELLENT...what more can I say!
Pii
I like the Jamaican beat mon mixed with the prog rock seamlessly! Alright here's the prog change executed ever so smooth and back again. Good vox as always. Enjoyed it Brian!
FJ
loved it from the beginning. has that classic reggae sound opening. Hmmmmm nice change up there. This song definitely crosses a few different genres.
Man I like this tune. Great vocals and so much happening from an instrument perspective! Love all the changes.
Outstanding job!
You just keep cranking out fine music Brian!! Prog reggae? I think I'll hold off until I can hear the full song (it cut's off prematurely at 3:42). What I've heard is very cool!! Love the changes...Blake
yeah no doubt a bit of reggae flav--progressive for sure--heartfelt vocals---the arrangement is well thought out and performed--very tight--the change of tempo caught be by surprize--a great platform to plays those tasty guitar lines!!! definitly progressive!! cool work--very enjoyable to hear from start to finish!!!
