Who doesn't like a well played blues instrumental...I certainly do...but this is much more than a typical 12 bar blues. I heard it on JimAE's Mix Radio show last night...

It's a great collaboration. The song is really cool, my friends. The blues elements are a nice touch.

What a track! I can see why Jim's headphones were happy. My speakers were as well

A great trubute to a loved one, Tristyn. As Jim said, "a powerful track" but easy on the ears with excellent vocals. The middle bridge is a cool change up. Nicely done!

This has a sort of Gypsy music flair to it. Cool vocals and great musical flourishes like the violin, Spanish guitar, flute, mandolin etc. Great work on the mix and production Michael!

Bill, I like how you don't let any grass grow beneath your feet. Translation : You can change music styles and genres with ease and never skip a beat. A cool listen!

Great music mated to great lyrics. Just got done listening to one of Nigel's new ones. You somehow capture a part of him inside your music. Before I forget, I absolutely love the way the bass is allowed to surface at around the 3:20 mark.
This is fabulous music...it keeps inside itself. Superbly played. Mix of instrumentation and colors are right on. Brian, would say bring the chorus organ up just a little (maybe 1db) but, wow..that's it. Love your guitar playing, voice. This all sums up so sweetly. IMHO, there is no need to replace anything with anybody except of course the drummer! Awesome, a bonafide winner. ...Blake
Brian.....I always seem to find a high influence of Procol Harum in your music. I'm sure it's in your voice. What I find in this song is that you have captured the mood of Nigel's writing, in the music. I find the biting guitar tone extremely tasteful. I really like it a lot and wouldn't change it at all. You did something that I really like to try, on occaision......the (I'll call it a xylaphone)instrument playing in contrast with the organ, running riffs up and down different scales is AWESOME. You have a lot going on, with a steady bass and drum beat (BTW - I loved the gritty bass run at 3:18 - 3:26). The vocals throughout the verse and chorus are exceptional and very strong....all harmonies work well. Listen, Bud....No pats here....I wouldn't change a thing, you may loose more than you gain. You already provide an excellent mood. Sometimes the mood is set in the first take and the more you try to improve, the further away from you stray. +++++

Great work with Nigel's lyric Brian! I thought the organ sat just right in the track. I even came to that conclusion before I read you question about it :o) Enjoyed the listen!
Farrell
Masterful! Everything is in perfect place in the mix. Great job!

Brian, love the intro to this and there you are! As always stunning vocals, and with Nigel's magical lyrics this makes for a classic sounding song. I felt a little Pink Floyd here which is just lovely. Super harmonies, love the chorus! Just Keep Breathing is a wonderful collab. Love this! Hope you are well, cheers beers, Melsi
Ohh..this is wonderful music with great vocal line...Superb song..Excellent collob from great musicians...
VERY SUBTILE AND AMBIENT. BY THE WAY: DI YOU PLAN TO POST YR SINGING OF THE FRENCH BOSSA? I USED A MODIFIED VERSION OF IT ON MY LAST TUNE.
CHEERS
very cool Brian. I need to get a player up with all of the songs listed. You did a fantastic job on this. Love the thumping bass line and the subtle keys. Add the guitar work and vocals and you have a winning combination.
Great track, very enjoyable. The opening guitars grabbed my full attention already. Nice build-up, catchy chorus and passionate vocals. The mix is excellent. Cheers / Mike
Thank you Brian
Before day's end it shall be safely stored away
I feel deeply honoured that you have done this song so well,as you always do
Nigel.
A very present-day take on a classic. Procul Harem keys, Pink Floyd harmonies / melody, Gilmore style solo / etc. really nice. The lyrics are superb as well. Lots to like with this tune.
