The beginning of the song had me thinking I clicked the wrong page — soft and gentle opening, almost majestic, Ron.
Love how that solo just soars.

Big‑time sounding good, Booby.
Always great hearing some real outlaw country.

One of the longest songs I’ve ever heard.
Pretty sure I aged a full presidential term listening to it.

A bit of a different style from you, Randy. But still some very fine guitar picking with tone and sustain galore!

Truly Beautiful!!
Still a story in there just like your country tunes. It is really great and Nelson does first-rate work, everytime! You guys are a killer combo!
Wowww, didn´t expected something like this. I´m a classical guitarist, so you can imagine Dowland is one of my favourites composers in the Renaissance. Congratulations.
Hey DrC! I don't know how I've missed this one but I'm glad I made the click! Excellent percusssion start and the melodies are great! Love th B3 as always.....I'm not familar with Andy the guitar player but he plays well. I like the way this gets heavier into a rock feel and the harmony instrument passages are killer!

I don't believe I've ever heard the original of this, and would be interested to compare. I bet it didn't sound quite like this in the 16th or 17th century. It's a lovely piece of music, though and certainly comes out smelling of roses after the Doc has operated on it. I've heard Andy's work with you before and he's a fine guitarist and does a great job on this one. Great stuff Doc.
Cheers
Brian
DOC -- I've come to really enjoy your creative flair. I especially love the changes and sounds here. Lovely melody, too. You are among a core of regular song contributors who never disappoint me. Good stuff, bro.
Oh, and A-freking-plusplusplusplus on that big organ bit. Love those B-3 sounds.
Yes,the master comes thru !! Mysteriously interesting.....DrC gives US a taste of all things great and (I'm speechless) .A melodic intro...then he teases us with some magical B-3 and superb guitar, all the while, keeping within the realm of a tight ,well conceived.... outstanding song.
"Damn'..son, you're raisin' the bar mighty HIGH !!"
Thanks.....my friend,
Larry T........
Hey Doc.....I don't remember this song....New??? Either way.....I LOVE IT!!! This could Rival "Finlandia", for my Favorite "DOC" song. You really create some GREAT melodies.....and even though, I can't hear the strings or choir
Rob
Digging these sounds Doc.Like the semi-reggae feel of this track.Digging that "Shaft"-stlye wah-wah man.Nice smooth melody.Gets even better when it kicks in.Harmonic lead melody parts are good man.Of course I love that B3 !!!!
