Dark and heavy — I really dig the contrast between the lyric and the overall feel of the track. It hits that sweet spot where tension and emotion meet.

The beginning of the song had me thinking I clicked the wrong page — soft and gentle opening, almost majestic, Ron.
Love how that solo just soars.

Big‑time sounding good, Booby.
Always great hearing some real outlaw country.

One of the longest songs I’ve ever heard.
Pretty sure I aged a full presidential term listening to it.

A bit of a different style from you, Randy. But still some very fine guitar picking with tone and sustain galore!

The song will be updated with a flute part, but I am still getting dizzy playing it LOL (I am just learning to play it too).
Piano is my weakness and you do it well. This is a very well written, performed and produced song. As a bass player, I am immediately drawn to an excellent bass line.....very active and very tasteful. Vocals are GREAT!!! +++++
Brian, love this updated version. Thanks for all your hard work and I do think it was worth the re-jiggle! Cheers Beers, x
INCREDIBLE....my friends...:)
Easy listening? No, man, it's a pretty amazing listening. Music, lyrics, performance, production all top notch. Incredible track.
Hi Mel!
Liked the way this one came out!! Selftort did such great job with your awesome lyrics very catchy!!
Holley
Mel, I think before long it is very likely that you're the one with the widest collection of songs here (style-wise). Just see all the great collabs you have done. This is another goodie with great support from Selftort who has lots of passion in his music/vocals. The chorus is being repeated six times throughout and this would be my only complaint if I have to make one. Absolutely great work. / Mike
Another good collab! Vox a very good and delivered with a convincing performence. The lyrics were done a great justice!
Great Song Mel and Brian ...What a vocal performance!!!!! ..Great Lyrics ...as if the lyrics were carrying the tune along with it.so well blended.and great composition and performance by Selftort... Classy Vocals.strikes the most to the listener..!!!!
Great Job ....Loved it through out
regards

Mel you decidly seem to inspire musicians. Selftort has found the right ambiance for the lyric and his sliding chord progression is subtile and touching. Great vocal too !
Excellent tune and great lyrics! Vocals are definitely delivered with a great passion which helps sell the song even more. Outstanding tune!!
Hi Melsi, I heard this last night on Kephas show.. Your lyrics as always are Beautiful.. Was instantly pulled into this one with Selftort's Awesome vocals... Outstanding delivery.. I really enjoyed this.. The two of you did a Wonderful job.. All The Best, Linda
