I just listened to this one today. It 'slipped past' me. I'm glad I did...very good music and reflective lyric. I love the intro note, and the guitar solo is so good!

Very Floydish sound to this one David. Very dark and expressive with lots of various textures. Very nice arrangement, instrumentation and a great mix. Great work.
Peace ad Blessings, John
Ah,dak nights,souls,abandonment and Gods...
Deep,deep stuff.
Don't start me of down metaphysical pathways LOL
I'll leave that speculation alone I think.
What we have here is a very cleverly crafted piece.
Mood, get it wrong and it all falls down, get it right and every word you sing will come to life.
Superb musicanship, that lead work is posativly crying.
I tend to listen to music as an empath I guess.
The sensations/emotions things suggest, often reveal the heart fo a song.
It is dark,it is lonely and it has a lot of questions it wants/needs answering, and so far,it only has the listening silence for company.
Beautiful work mate.
Nigel
Very powerful and original piece of work here - vocals are amazing and very evocative. Great atmosphere created - works well with the lyrics. Also excellent production - all round masterpiece! Thanks for the experience -Derek
No talking about roots, cause everyone has one. What you create here is really outstanding. A song should be, for me it is, a journey, what you doing here is a trip to a beyond galaxy. Such a great vibe in this song, thanks for listen.....shine on...Chris
Wow! Wow ... Wow! Man David, this is truly the darkest, most mysterious song I've heard of your repertoire. I just read the info above, and it's intriguing! This song has a lot of power, let me tell you. That haunting, repetitive piano, the great percussion, the deep guitar sounds. And your voice - man! It reminds me of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. This definitely is one of my faves of yours David! Did I say 'Wow' already?
Heinz.
hi Dave, man this had me startled for a moment. Very dark intro, I love it..You portrayed a pain and loneliness in this piece with your great sense of composition. I really like music that conveys deep feelings. I enjoy your keyboards to, piano and strings in perfect harmony. Your guests did a great job of adding drama to your song. The ending section I interpreted as a more harmonious feel. Excellent track Dave!!
Dave,
The words, music and emotion all gel together and really project the title of this song.. A voice crying out in the dark. Haunting. The percussion adds a lot of flavor to this. This is just excellent! Carried me right along..... The ending was an unexpected touch. Nice.
Have no clue how I missed this one Dave. Is that you singing?? Well whomever it is...I really like the voice. And the concept is very interesting along with how this thing builds...and builds patiently. The minimalistic piano notes, the infrequent guitar, and then the hand drums marking out an escalation of emotion. Excellent delivery and production here Dave...as always..something I can count on. ~Blake
What a sound...Love the darkness of it, haunting vocals, has a floydian feel to it which is very nice...Impressive to say the least...Did I say I`m impressed? I am, very...
peace n love mags xx
Being an old rocker,I love the dark atmosphere of this one, very gothic.
Vocals are great, and I love the mellow yet intense groove of this.
Peace,
Tsargoth
Interesting and creative. Expansive- Made me think.
hey david.. saw that title that appeals so strongly to me and remembered back to mixposure.com.. i liked it a lot then and i love it now.. love the piano lines.. cold as ice.. a long dark night indeed.. man you and Z (zefuldar) have those expressive sprechgesang vocals in common.. and I too thing the guitar was
beautifully expressive.. with all the notes flying around it's great to be reminded during my new tune that slow is also beautiful.. maybe moreso.. it sure is here.. awesome ambience..
nice to hear this favorite again here david.. cheers..
vocals in common
Brilliant number this, it's almost off the Animals album by Floyd. The guitar is almost Gilmour, great bit of work, really enjoyed this piece
I have to say, it's great to hear some piano based prog music. As much as I like piano, you'd think I'd use it more
Rob
Deep! Very deep ... and dark. You create quite a mood with this one. Good job on a difficult piece of work.
Pads.....ambience......!!!! vocals ? Great guitar,keys and drum track(s).......Very cool vibe and progression.Unique melody,the outro,very spiritual..........!!
LT
Great stuff! Glad to hear you can pulloff a very interesting prog piece here. Great expressive vocals!
I like the artistry in this one.... pulls at you in very different ways... an aspect I like... its strong and delicate and of course a bit obtuse too... enjoyed it David!
pretty dark tune. piano gives it an ominous vibe. nice harmonics also. Guitar playing is pretty killer. at times I get a floyd vibe. nicely done.
I like abstract. This one is dark and Floyd like. Being a Floyd fan, I therefore love the track. The emotion is conveyed beautifully by the piano. Keep 'em coming mate. MD
