I love this one, my friend. Those are some deliciously gritty guitars, too!
Thank you Jim !The tune was written specifically so I can record my 7 String guitar.

Cooter, thank you! I've drifted back to my music roots with a new album I'm working on. Six songs so far.

Hi Farrell, Not being satisfied with a track and working on it until you are is both the struggle and the beauty of art! I totally get it! The extra effort is so worth it....

Reading Tricias comments I’m pleased to say she’s getting so much better at her reviews !!
Anyway - my thoughts on this one:
There’s a duel lead across this the keys and chorus guitar combining well to set the mood.Thise simple little lines compliment each other really well-the sustained notes giving the guitar centre stage.
Pete has added some wonderful lead section be here a blistering accompaniment. Love the slick fast finger sections and the string bending..nice.
I always try to objective when listening-so I’d take a glance at the drum track on this one. For my ears there’s scope for more dynamic and change that would push the sections into sharper focus. There are fills but the changes don’t uplift if that makes sense.I do like the maracas or wood block that could sparkle if you pumped it slightly in the mix.
I’m listening a second time as I type - your vocal is sat really well in this mix. Not too much effect and right up front which makes it stand out just as it should.
It’s that age old question “what’s left for me” think at one time or another we have all asked that question in one way or another.
One thing I would definitely do on this track is double up the last chorus and allow a longer fade maybe dropping to just bass and drums into the silence...
Sly
Thanks Tricia for your words. Pete is great friend and did an awesome lead guitar on this one. By the way vocals are mine jejejeje 😉🎸🎶🎵🎶🎄
