This is the very first song I contributed too with the collaboration of Rob, Gary, and DrC. I suppose this is the song that laid the ground work for the formation of Rayon Vert. Rob Grant contacted me about possibly adding a lyric and melody to a completed instrumental. Well prog. rock was not my normal genre of late but I'll try anything once and sometimes twice, lol! Although prog. and classic rock were a big part of my youthful musicianship, recently I had moved towards the earthy Americana genre. Not much difference: Prog rock or Americana, lol! The group hadn't found a singer for this excellent song yet and they were ready to just keep it as an instrumental. When I got the song, what I heard just blew me away! It sounded like world class musicianship to me. DrC's keys, Gary's guitar work, and Rob's bass were so professional that I knew it would take more than just a normal vocal performance to fit with this song. To my surprise, the melody came to me right away. I had a set of unusual lyric on the shelf title Conversational Prostitute but could never find a song for them. So an unusual instrumental without words and an unusual lyric without a song. It was a marriage made in heaven or at least we think so, lol! That's the story.
Rob, Gary, and DrC all really excelled with this song!
Song written by Grant-Jackson, Arranged and Engineered by Doctor C, Gary Carciello - Guitars, Doctor C - Keyboards and drums arranging, Rob Grant - Bass, Farrell Jackson - Vocals
We hope you enjoy it!
Farrell for Rayon Vert
This delights the ears with sounds hard driving. Lyrics are quite a story told about how a certain someone who prostitutes themselves with delusions of grandeur within their speaking form. This is an excellent piece of work fellas!
Classic in every meaning.
I wonder if the popular music world has forgotten how to write a song like this?
Thank goodness in our own quiet corners, artists like yourself keep the craft of making music alive.
Huge sound,huge talents,huge results.
Nothing overblown, nothing not straight down the line class.
Superb work gents.

Great song....esp like the strong vox, when Gary kicks in at mid song and then DrC's keys...really sensational stuff, but I'm hearing an overly subdued rhythm section. May I suggest bringing up bass and drums? That would do it for me! Super song ..Blake
Powerful and perfectly put together! Arrangement and performance are totally pro. Nice hook, fine soloing. Great stuff!
Cheers
