I've decided to dust it off, clean it up, remaster and release Rayon Vert's 2nd album called Second Course. It's been sitting on the shelf for about 10 years so it's past time to do something with it. Rayon Vert is the opening song for the album. As I make progress I'll be posting a few of the songs from it. 

Gary Carciello - song idea and all guitars. 

Farrell Jackson - lyric idea, melody, and all vocals.

About the song Rayon Vert: All bands (even internet ones) need to write a song named after them, lol. So just as the classic greats like Black Sabbath, Bad Company, Iron Maiden, and Bad Religion have done, Rayon Vert has followed their trend with the creation of Rayon Vert....the song. We've tried to put some extra power into this production which you'll hear in Gary's lightening quick, yet tasteful, guitar work, DrC's equally tasty and speed of light keys work, Rob's impressive and thunderous bass. I've also tried to put a little extra desire and feel into my vocals. We think we hit the mark but you, the listener, will have to be the judge of that.

About the lyric: It really has dual meaning in that the words are describing the phenomenal love effect of Le Rayon Vert (the green flash) as described by Jules Vern in his novel of the same name. The words are also describing the empowerment we feel in ourselves, as a musical group, creating music with our combined and diverse musical experiences.

Hopefully they've come together in this song so that you, the listener, can feel that same power.
