"I.C.U."
Right now she's sleeping
in her room
here at St. Jude's
in the I.C.U.
My baby girl
is sick as she can be
and there's not a thing
that I can do
C:
Last night while she was praying
I could hear what she was saying
Dear God they say I'm in your hands
and it must be true
I see You
When I started crying
the tears wouldn't stop
I'm out here breaking down
she's in there talking to God
and I hope he's listening
she's all I've got
C:
Last night while she was praying
I could hear what she was saying
Dear God they say I'm in your hands
and it must be true
I see You
B:
This morning ....
when I opened her door
she smiled at me and said
Daddy you don't need to be sad anymore
I'm not ready to leave
and God's not ready for me
C2:
Last night while I was praying
I know you heard what I was saying
but you were crying in the hall
and you couldn't hear it all
in a whisper he said "You see Me"
and baby girl "I See You"

Thanks guys. Your very generous.
Real nice song with a good outcome Ron! Your guitar playing sounds fine to me. I'm glad you're back at it!

Very well done song Ron... puts you right in the moment and allows one to experience the a difficult life event. And, moreover, it was nice that there's a happy ending. Glad you've back writing such terrific songs!
You sound just fine to me- guitar, vocal, song- love it all. I know what the frustrating wait feels like too. Bad cut on my thumb a year back. Took two months to heal to the point of a very light strum. Glad you're back!
So....I finally got the nerve to try and play again. I hope the song is up to everyone's expectations of me.
