I uploaded a new song called "The Drinkin Kind". Check it out if you get a chance.

http://www2.mixposure.com/Full_Blood_Country/song_focus_21035.php

Just thinking.........I know, that's unusual....and scary.

But, why doesn't Mixposure have "apps" that people can download?

Things like an app for the Android system for phones, iPads, Archos Tablet, etc. Something that people could take with them. I know there is the "Mobile" tab above but there could much more than that. People love applications on their personal devices that they can just select with out having to browse or search. The app could play Mixposure radio if desired, search the site, log in, and even chat. I would think this could dramatically increase traffic for Mixposure (not that it's lacking traffic now).

Also, what about a browser toolbar? Browser toolbars can be cool and the user could surf the internet AND listen to Mixposure without having any Mixposure windows open.

I know of some Internet radio stations that have things like this and they work well, increase traffic, and would add to advertising Mixposure.

And no, I don't know how to go about doing these, but many sites do them and are pretty popular.

What do you think?

I would just like to thank Jim for allowing me to be on his show live last night and for all the plays. I really enjoyed it and had a great time. I would also like to thank everyone for all the helpful advice regarding recording and the suggested equipment.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks!

I uploaded a new song called "Lock And Load". Please check it out if you get a chance.

I just uploaded a new song called "Fun And Games (till somebody breaks a heart)".

This song was inspired by our friend Brandy. It is always all fun and games until somebody breaks a heart.

I even managed to get my wife, Nannette, to sing backup on it!

Please check it out if you get a chance.

Please see http://www2.mixposure.com/Full_Blood_Country/song_focus_25674.php

I just uploaded a song called "Last Dance Saloon". We used to play a lot at a huge club in Missouri about 26 miles from Branson. The owner wanted me to write a theme song for the place to use in radio and TV promos and stuff. So, this is what I came up with. Check it out if you get a chance.

I uploaded a new song the other day called "Mind Over Matter". Please check it out if you get a chance.

new to Mixposure anyway....

I uploaded a new song called Grandmas Blackberry Wine.

I have hesitated to upload this song. It is so far from the grasp of most people simply because the subject matter is truly all out country. However, it is a very true song.

My Grandma used to make blackberry wine. She would go out in the woods, pick the blackberries herself, bring them home, and make the most awesome tasting wine ever in the history of homemade wine. But, you had to be careful with it because it would sneak up on you quick.

The song explains how Grandma didn't have indoor plumbing....true. How we used to have to use the outhouse....true. How she had a rocked in spring about 200 yards out in the woods to bathe in....true. How she made the best homemade blackberry wine ever....true. And, how I miss those fun country times....true.

There's a "hill" (more like a mountain) that's called "Higg's Hill". Back when my mother was a kid there was a store on top of the hill called "Higg's". At the bottom of Higg's Hill, my aunt and uncle used to have a beer joint called The Rawhide. And yes, it was every bit as rough as it sounds. But, as long as you were part of our family you had nothing to worry about. I loved to go play pool and eat beef jerky there. Very cool!

Poison Willie was a true character when I was growing up. If there was a fight or any other trouble, 'ol Poison was probably involved. One day he showed up at my aunts bar drunk (or something) as he could be. He was looking for somebody in our family. Don't remember who (my family is a little....uhhhh.........wild....at times). He had a shotgun that had the butt broken off. I don't think he could've even shot it but he was sure pissed off. One of the men from inside went out and wrestled it away from him and told him to get on down the road.

Anyway, I just thought I'd explain a little of what the song is about. I also put this in the song info.
