Keeping a sense of humor......from sonicbids

Success in the music industry hinges on building constructive and positive relationships. And to do that, you gotta be cool. And there's nothing cooler than someone who can make fun of him or herself. In fact, if being made fun of was a sign of being cool, Sonicbids Artist Relations Manager, Benjy Kantor, would be the coolest guy in the world!!!

Having a sense of humor doesn't mean you have to be cracking people up all the time. It simply means that you're able to look at life's little foibles with grace and aplomb, and sometimes that means not being afraid to be embarrassed. Heck, you're a musician -- you know what it means to put yourself up on stage for everyone else to stare at!

There's no reason you shouldn't take that same fearless attitude with putting yourself in front of promoters and other artists, and at the same time realize you can't be everything to everybody, and some people might just laugh. And when they do, laugh right with 'em, because if nothing else it will let them know you're on-the-level, down-to-earth, and that you know there are funny things about the world we live in. More likely than not, you'll gain a fan, and it's a great start to building those relationships that are going to help you meet your music (or career) goals.

Dear Sir ,
your comments are well recieved by myself But I don't think it will go over well on garageband dot com . The temptation to trash your compettion is is just too great with being an anonymous reviewer . I personally would like to track down some people and give them a brick of cheese
laugh at myself you say ? I want to find the word " Cheesy " and kill it ! believe me I have tried to swallow gravel and sing in a constant drone with slight melody changes here and there I have tried to be offensive and I have tried to find Disonant Dischordance .
I am afraid I ate way too much cheese when I was younger . I have been accused of sounding like a person playing a casio to a Kareoke back up tape at a cheap mexican restaurant . I was at that restaurant and I thought the music was good !
Your advice I am afraid will not work for me I have embarrassed too many times with my Retro 70's Phil Donahue mandy pandy sentiments . "What so funny about peace love and Understanding " ouch .. Elvis costello was so CHEESY and I am a cheese addict. I want to be in The freecredit dot com band . So go ahead and laugh.
sincerely
