<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Congratulations to <a href="http://www2.mixposure.com/Farrell_Jackson/">Farrell Jackson</a> and Buddrumming for having Mixposure's Song of the Week! Farrell and Buddrumming have been staples on Mixposure for some time and this is just a great tune. Check out the song below.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Bio:</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Been learning and playing the guitar since I was a youngster. My training came from the countless hours I spent listening to those big black vinyl discs. Played in a few bands along the way and still play out solo now and then. Like many mid 60's era musicians, I would have to say my influences are the likes of: The Beatles, The Animals, The Stones, Cream, The Allman Bros., Steppenwolf, and CSNY are probably my biggest influences. I love great sounding acoustic guitars, mixed with tasteful electrics, melodic vocals, and harmonies thrown in. Equipment used: A couple of acoustics, some electrics, a couple of basses, some harmonicas, several amps, and my voice. I record to a Fostex VF160 DAW ( with several outboard pieces attached ) at my place, Jaxonville Studio. My music is acoustic rock guitar based but there are a lot of electric guitars in and about. Most all my songs begin life on the acoustic and grow from there. Music has been a very enjoyable part of my life and has allowed some very satisfying and personal expressions to come forward. Since we have done these in the past, let's keep the rules the same. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">1. 350 Song Reviews Minimum (that is just over 10 a day!)</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">2. "Cool Song", "Liked It" are not song reviews. Give it some substance! <p><span style="font-size: medium;">Just wanted to let everyone know we tossed up a few new skin colors that you can now use. The first thing I wanted to mention is that please remember, when you change the layout it may take a second to load while it builds the cache files. You will find that going back to the pages you have visited will load quickly.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">On the top right of the main Mixposure Page you will see a drop down menu with a few choices. Obviously we left the dark as the default! Right now we have only set this up to change the main site and not the artist pages. As you can imagine, it is difficult to check every page on here so if you see something that is off, please let me know! </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Once we get comfortable with how this looks, I will make an additional skin in a different color that is a bit lighter. <p>I never grow tired of listen to Nigel Potter's vocals. There is a uniqueness to them that just makes every song special. Nigel is a musicians musician with a history that is truly remarkable. Add in David C. Deal to this tune and you have nothing short of greatness. <p>Hey everyone! First I want to thank you for your patience with the new Mixposure. Even when we moved to the last skin, we had bugs and hate mail. I get it! We are working very hard on the site to get it to where we think it should be and trust me, we have high standards.</p><p>Our goal is to bring in the new features as well as some old features. We will also be changing a lot of things that we think could be done better.</p><p>We have a developer wjo designed the skin and I think he did a great job. The problem is this site is pretty large and once we implemented, with the amount of data we had, we had some unforseen issues. We are in the process of getting those cleaned up.</p><p>We have made a ton of changes tonight that should be visible and a lot more in the works. On your artist page you will now have a Bio tab. I think that was important to be a bit more prominent on your page. Rob Perez agrees hehe! Also on the songs tab, when you click on a song from the bottom, you will see a download button and a Song Details Button. It should look familiar hehe. There is also a FB Share button on the embed button to load the individual song to facebook.</p><p>So thanks again for being a part of Mixposure.
