So right now Mixposure uses popup audio players while many sites out there use embedded audio players. We have always had the ability to do this but I have just not done it. The reason is pretty simple. Typically I listen to songs and may navigate away from the page I am listening from. On most sites, you lose the song you are listening to.

So I have debated on embedding the audio players and leaving a popup link as well. This way you can choose either. But before I start coding this, I thought I would see what most people prefer. Does it matter? Do you like the popup audio player better? Prefer embedded instead? Any other features you are looking for?

Thanks for your help!

Just some highlights from the email update sent out yesterday....

We ordered some Polo Shirts by the request of a few people. These will have the Mixposure Logo embroidered, shown below, and will be in black. Since we were not sure of the demand, we only ordered 12 and half of those are already sold. If there is a bigger interest, we will order more. (from the comments I had, it looks like a second order will be on the way) Once we have an actual shirt, we will post a picture for everyone to see. We went with a very high quality shirt because we did not want these things falling apart in a year or two!!

Mixposure also implemented a Trouble Ticket Support System. You will see it in your control panel in the top menu. Mixposure has a lot of features and this can be confusing at times so we thought this could help! You can always use the forum to ask questions but we thought this may add an extra level of support.

We also updated the Promote Mixposure Page with some new banners. You can easily change the url link so it will go to your page also. Please take a look. These are cool!!

I also want to thank every one of your for continuing to support this site!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the New Mixposure T-Shirts are in. They look great!! I am going to try and get some better pictures since this one does not do the colors or detail justice. You can see a larger picture here. You can find them on the menu under Store > Mix Merchandise or just click here. Like before I have included shipping in the USA, PR and Canada in the price. For International orders we kind of split the difference and added $6.00-$6.50 for shipping. Shipping to most countries runs around $9.75.

I hope everyone likes the new design and a big thanks to Wildhoneypie, Blake and WildCherry for their contributions to the design! You guys rock!!

Just wanted to let you say we are trying to wrap up the site changes pretty soon. We are trying to find the best banner that looks just right with the site. If a page looks off, just refresh the page. There may be some browser cache issues after the changes.

We are also debating on going to embedded music players with the option for the popup. I kind of preferred the popup personally because you could navigate the site and the music would still play. However most sites have gone to the embedded players so maybe I stand alone on this.

I would also like to start working on adding some more widgets so that might be the next thing we tackle. Will the fun ever end?

Thanks for the support!

Dazed

Gary Hart created this for the New Mixposure Commercial! What we want to do is have everyone create some music that we can choose from for the background music. The winner will get a New Mixposure T-Shirt (New Design).

This is a kick-ass video!!

Mixposure is proud to Announce our March Artist of the Month - Ed Drury!

Ed Drury is a multi instrumentalist, composer, teacher, instrument maker and author. Classically trained as a trumpeter, Ed traded his trumpet for an electric guitar and was a well known side man and session musician on the west coast for the better part of the 1970's. In 1976, growing tired of road life, Ed returned to school and took an associate degree in Respiratory Care. For more than ten years, music took a back seat while he branched into various roles in health care. He quit his hospital job in 1989 to pursue his first love, the study of various traditional music forms from around the world. Today he combines his experience with classical music and his love for traditional music forms by composing music inspired by his world travels and training as a healer. Studying with almost anyone who will accept him as a student, Ed attempts to finance his quest through teaching, writing and performing. Ed has studied with Aboriginal didjeridu master David Blanasi and world musician Stephen Kent.

Ed lives in Portland Oregon where he teaches, performs and records. Ed has performed with Francis Firebrace-Jones, a Yorti Yorti story teller, with Australian Folk Musician and songwriter Clancey Dunn, Jawighe, Michael Stirling, Jawihge, Randy Graves, Stephen Kent, Dave Crowder and Land of the Blind.
