<p><span style="font-size: small;">I just wanted to let everyone know we added a new page on Mixposure that should make it easier for some members wanting to use other players for MixStream Radio. From the menu links under Mix Radio > Listen Now > Mix Music Players or you can just click <a href="http://www.mixposure.com/?t=mixstream_radio">here</a>, we have embedded most of the players used today. The Winamp link may also open up in iTunes depending on your settings. If a player does not work for you, you may need to download missing plug-ins. <p>It looks like we will be rolling the new site out sometime in July. I wanted to give you guys a bit of sneak peak so you can see some of the changes that will be made.</p><p>One of my favorite changes is that the Control Panel is gone. All changes will be made on the appropriate page. Want to create a new song? Go to your audio page and click the plus button. Create a Blog? Go to your Blog Page and click the plus buitton. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><img src="http://www.mixposure.com/newsite/Timeline.png" alt="" width="650" height="316" /></p><p>This is the landing page for an artist account. If you want to change the artist image, just mouseover the image when you are logged in and you will see change image box appear. The timeline will show your updates as well as people you follow updates.</p><p> </p><p><img src="http://www.mixposure.com/newsite/artistaudiopage.png" alt="" width="650" height="306" /></p><p>This is how the Audio Page looks right now. When logged in, you can click the sprocket to edit the song or trash can to delete. You can create Albums now as well as individual songs. So if you click on the album name, the player will have all songs on the album. This is a cool feature!</p><p>If you click the plus button, you can create a new song.</p><p><img src="http://www.mixposure.com/newsite/CreateSong.png" alt="" width="650" height="314" /></p><p>The way this is set now, the genre can be created by anyone. It will appear in a drop down list once created. So no one will need to message me to add a new genre for them.</p><p> </p><p><img src="http://www.mixposure.com/newsite/songdetail.png" alt="" width="650" height="292" /></p><p>This is how the song detail page looks now. The audio player is html 5 with a fallback to flash if someones browser does not support html 5.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">My apologies for doing this everyone but the one thing I have always disliked about Mixposure was the Forum. The existing PHPBB forum we have used I thought was great for a number of years. However the functionality was always kind of limited and in visiting other forums over the years I have always thought VBulletin Board Forum was a much nice and professional look. With that we have purchased the forum and have been making minor changes to hit over the last week. Why minor changes you ask? Well they just updated to version 4 and the skins for it are kind of limited at the moment. So we will give it some time and wait for one we like to purchase or just customize our own. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">We have moved the posts and users over but the bad news is that the avatars did not make it and the passwords have to be reset. So with that in mind, when you register for Mixposure, we have software in place that creates your forum user_id and password at the same time. When you change your password, it will also change your forum password. To access the new forum, you will need to go into your control panel > on the right click on Account Info > then change your password to the same password you are using right now. You will now be able to log into the forum. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">We will be adding some more features to the forum like a shoutbox and a few other things over the next few days. The address of the new forum is <a href="http://www.mixposure.com/forums/" target="_blank">www.mixposure.com/forums/</a> and we will eventually redirect the old url to the new. I do want to leave the existing forum up for a week or so so people can grab their avatars if they were not saved. Signatures came over but you may need to resize them. You can also add images to your signature now.
