We do site specific tunes periodically for fun. What is cool about the site songs is they are all based around a theme. So when you have 20 artists or so writing a song, you get a variety of different styles and ideas. He was 64.</p><p style="font-size: 14px;">Douglas says Montrose had been in declining health for some time battling prostate cancer and what Douglas termed "personal demons."</p><p style="font-size: 14px;">Besides forming his own band in 1973, Montrose also performed with a number of rockers, including Sammy Hagar, <a class="r_lapi" href="http://www.foxnews.com/topics/entertainment/music/herbie-hancock.htm#r_src=ramp">Herbie Hancock</a>, <a class="r_lapi" href="http://www.foxnews.com/topics/entertainment/music/van-morrison.htm#r_src=ramp">Van Morrison</a>, <a class="r_lapi" href="http://www.foxnews.com/topics/entertainment/music/boz-scaggs.htm#r_src=ramp">Boz Scaggs</a> and the Edgar Winter Group. Douglas says Montrose was working on releasing a DVD and starting a tour that would have taken him all across the U.S.</p><p style="font-size: 14px;">Montrose is survived by his wife, Leighsa, as well as a son, a daughter and five grandchildren.</p><p> </p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Just wanted to let you guys know about something new we added today. On the left side menu you will now see "Most Reviewed Songs Today". What this will do is basically let you know what song within a 24 hour period is getting the most comments. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">There is also a <a href="http://www.mixposure.com/index.php?t=mp_ranking">link at the bottom</a> which will take you to a new page where you can input your own values. <p>I was very pleased to see that Rob Perez has expanded his Mixposure presence and added a page for each band. When I say that <a href="http://www2.mixposure.com/visual_cliff/">Visual Cliff</a> had not only an impact on me and others, it is a true understatement. The vocals on Let it Ring and Sacred are nothing short of remarkable as is the guitar work!
