Avalanche, and the founder of the band Avalanche Mike Foster, just blew away myself, the listeners and the folks in the live chat with this Center Stage Presentation! Folks, it just doesn't get any better than this, does it? To really learn about a band that has a 30 plus year history is just really amazing. When you invite a band of this caliber with that much history, you simply cannot limit them to a 5 minute narrative each inbetween sets! IMPOSSIBLE! So, that's why this one was 52 minutes long and every second of it was entertaining!! I've made it an hour, playing their track "The Road Less Travelled" - the anniversary tune of Avalanche, celebrating not only that they are keeping Classic Rock alive with their own distinctive sound, but also what matters most: friendship!!!

Listen to more of Avalanche's HERE.

If you missed this last show, you please download it to your iPOD or whatever means to listen to a rebroadcast of this great show via the following links:

September 6, 2008 SNR - featuring Avalanche - Hi-Fi

September 6, 2008 SNR - featuring Avalanche - Lo-Fi

The complete playlist of this past Saturday's show is HERE. For all other re-broadcast links, please visit the Mix Radio Blogs Page

We hope to see you again next Saturday for another exciting Mix Radio Center Stage Presentation via Mixposure.com - "Interactive Radio" at its best!

Your Host,

Mike K

So its been a while since I've been on Mixposure at all. Per my last blog, I've been all kinds of busy with work, moving to a new place, and working hard on the new album, half of which is completed. It's definitely coming along as my strangest album with sounds ranging from watery and ambient to heavy jazz. I put up those two tracks as an update. They're called Hadopelagic and Waiting For The Moon. Hadopelagic refers to the deepest parts of the deepest trenches in the world's oceans. Take a look, and have a great day :D

Some of you may have already noticed the new flash players on your artist pages. I wanted to explain these in a little bit of detail so you can get the most out of them.

1. Some wanted the player to automatically play when their artist page was opened and others did not. I added some code in to make this possible but in order to make it auto play you must click the artist link on the top left of your control panel > click modify artist > make sure Band Autoplay is set to "true" and click modify artist. If you do not want it to auto play, you do not need to do anything.

2. If you click the Share This Artist button, there is the embed code to put the player on your personal site. The Height and Width Dimensions are there and you can resize it the way you like.

3. If you click the Stations Button, this will show the Radio Station Image being used by members of Mixposure. Click an image to load that station and the songs will start playing.

4. More songs will bring up random mixposure artists. Some of you may or may not like this feature but consider the fact that your music has just reached a larger audience with members posting this on other sites. When the song plays, they can also click the link to bring you back to your mixposure page. I think it is a great feature.

5. Yes the bars go with the music for those who have asked

6. As many of you know, we will be making the push to more video coming up in the next month or two. The new video player looks the same as the mp3 player so we will have the same look and feel. On the downside, once we make the conversion to more video, all videos will need to be uploaded again. The reason is we will be doing the same thing as YouTube. Formats like avi, wmv, mpeg will all be converted to flash or flv file extension. This makes it easier because we will have 1 video format to support and one player. We will also support Apple MP4 format.
