Blogs
Hey Everyone! Just a few quick updates.

We have recently added some new moderators to iMusicScene. Some of you may have read that Jim aka Artificial Earth and Saturated have been added but we also just added Venuestudio aka Kent and Beerhunter aka Lonnie. Beerhunter and Venuestudio are going to help out in the Recording Studio Forums. Kent has posted some great tips in the Recording Studio that I will be adding to our Mixing Help area very soon. Beerhunter's Blog is also loaded with great information as well.

Kent has offered to start mixing songs for some members. I do not think he can take on every project thrown his way but if you have something that you would like to have him mix, post it in the Help Mix My Song Forum. I know I will be asking him to do some mixing. Remember we also have the upload FTP server for you to upload your wav files to. Information on that is in the Help Mix My Song Forum.

Please do not forget about the iMS Songwriting Challenge. We have four songs submitted already. I know I have this on my to do list! When you upload the song, make sure you use the genre of iMS Songwriting Challenge. The due date is May 10th and yes you can be late. The lyrics are in the link and the song name is Prison of Love.

Thanks for supporting iMusicScene!

Dazed
Greetings, Just wanted to introduce my label to everyone officially now that its all revamped and open for sonic consumption! Over the last 5 years I have been springboarding all of my personal music projects off of the Trinity Records label moniker. Feel free to visit the website at trinityrecords.net and poke around, pull up a chair and get comfy! I hope you dig the ride! Regards, Rob
I was born in 1970 but it wasn't until 2006, when I met my best friend and the love of my life, Tsargoth, that I truly came to life.
Musically, I'm a rooty-poot guitar player at best, but I enjoy writing lyrics and poetry (and pretty much anything creative/crafty).
For the safety and well-being of everyone on here, this is NOT me singing or playing.
The only thing I had to do with these songs is the writing of the lyrics.
The instrumentation and vocals were all done by studio musicians.
Rick is an incredible person and an outstanding musician!!!! It's an honor to have him contribute his talents to this piece.
Very sorry to have been away for so long.
I hope to listen to some new music soon -
till then, at least I've gotten some nice pictures of this year's litter of Fox Kits.
Beautiful little fuzz balls playing right behind my house.
I've hired a new manager to handle all my collabs. I've posted a new song with Robbo1 (Robert Smith) . The Monkey and staff had the final say on the mix ,so please refer any comments to my manager. Feel free to comment ! It's Just a Thang' featuring Robert Smith with TLT50.
Thanks,cheers,
Larry T.....
Oh... here's the link to my manager.......copy and paste ...
Trunk Monkey Compilation
P.S. Just having some fun !!
I'm very glad my pictures of foxes.... the K-9 kind.... are a hit !
here's another. To see pictures of much higher Rez... check my photos on my artist page.
what can i say... i have been here and not really been here this past few weeks...
but i thought i would put another blog entry in anyway. why..? i have no idea... its not like i have done anything new for ages.
i did a collab with Jerry Miller (from SC) which i thought was pretty good, and if i can be bothered to bounce it as a 192 mp3... i will pop it on the page for a short while.
other than that...? not much... i was in a meeting at work today, and my credit for initiating and reviewing the literature for a project was completely disregarded... it has been stolen..!!
i think this is because i am working my notice there, and they just thought they could... bastards..!! they have taken me off the project team.
i hate them all..!!!!!!!!!
grrr..!!
Just getting started here at Imusicscene. I have a small studio and would be willing to mix songs for artists of most genre. My background is live music recording and mixing but I am up for anything. More than happy to help out new artists looking to get their music out to the masses..

I have had a few alarming messages in the last day or so that have litterally made me take a step back. If there is one thing bout iMS, we are obviously customer service driven and make changes on the fly to ensure everyone has a great experience here.

As a site like this continues to grow, we are going to have growing pains. We will be looking for more moderators to help keep the site at the highest level of integrity as we have always tried to maintain. If you feel you need to belittle a member to bring validity to your point, think again. It ends today. All we are asking is everyone to be professional! We are all in this together and music is not a competition. This site was created to have fun and be drama free! Let's try to hit that mark lol. My apologies to those of you who have been targeted by this. It should have been corrected.

One of the common themes in the messages I received had to do with song reviews. When you log into your control panel now, everyone will see the below.

Song Reviews! - There has been a lot of discussion about song reviews here at iMS lately. Most artists want their songs reviewed. Some feedback on the work we have done is always nice from our peers. Some artists though just want a place to host their songs so family and friends can listen. The decision is up to you in regards to song reviews though. If you listen to some of the songs on iMS and like them, let the artist know their work was appreciated. If you have advice, please remember to be constructive. Telling someone their song "Sucks" accomplishes nothing. I think of it like a job review. Tell people what they are doing well and then let them know a few things that could be improved upon. Remember, the majority of musicians on here are not professional audio engineers or studio musicians. We all started somewhere so let's help each other grow as artists!

I want to thank each of you for being a part of iMusicScene. The caliber of talent on this site amazes me and just continues getting better. If you have a concern, send me a message.

Dazed

Also we have added two new mods to iMS - Saturated and Artificial Earth have joined the team.
