I like to get my songs as good as possible but in my case I don't have the skill or equipment to get them perfect. I do clean my tracks up by making sure my instruments are aligned, free of noise, and as in tune as I can get them. But for the most part I record the old fashioned way but in the digital world. So no one ever has to worry about hearing something from me that's perfect. Although I do admire folks that can do that. I also like to hear the human quality in a song.

I did create an Album of 5 Holiday and instrumental songs using the same title and image. It worked great at allowing me to upload all the songs at one time. However, I thought it would create a separate play list with just those songs on it. Not so, they showed up on the front page as individual, new songs. I know it's possible to create my own play list with just those songs but I was expecting something else with the "create an Album" option. Oh well....

I was wondering if anyone has used the "create an album" function at Mixposure? I have 4 completed albums and working on #5 so I've been thinking of moving the respective songs into an album format instead of having them posted randomly. If anyone has done this could you reply to this post with your thoughts? I'd also like to see how it worked for you. Thanks in advance!

I'm afraid I fell off the wagon again.....deep into Gasland. Two deals popped up recently that I "just" couldn't pass up. The first was a double octave fuzz pedal by VOX called The Trike. The second was a 2013 American made Gibson 50's SG Tribute with P90 pups. I just had to have them both so gave in to the G.A.S. urge. They are both sweet sounding and the SG is fantastic. The best thing is that my wife knows about them and I'm still alive to talk about it. Just call me GASMAN, lol!

I think that is a good decision! I was wondering why there were so many songs from new members posted all in a row. I just thought they were busy reviewing other members songs. I get a little lax from time time on giving detailed reviews so thanks for the reminder that everyone deserves better than a "well done!" comment on their creations.

Your song only plays for a 2 minute sample because it is for sale. Any time you have your music listed for sale it automatically just plays a sample of the song. As far as I know the only way around that is to remove the price.

Ok the G.A.S. got me again.....I fell off the wagon...again! On occasion I've run out of room on my trusty old Fostex VF160 (16 track) recorder that I've been using for the last 13 years. M.F. ran a Stupid Deal of the Day on a Tascam DP32 (32 tracks) that I couldn't pass up. So it's now mine...the precious is mine I tell you!

The new Jaguar guitar is now out of the closet. The wife knows about it and I'm still in her good graces. Of course the loaded gift card at her favorite place to shop for clothes helped, lol!

Well so far so good. My new Jaguar axe arrived and so far the wife's axe me no questions. It helped that it was delivered under the cloak of darkness because the UPS man was running late. It's now safely hidden in an old case until the wife heads off to work.....I feel so bad but not that bad, lol!

Hey all, I'm not a bassist either. I'm just a musician that thinks he can play any instrument, lol! So I dabble on anything that you can make noise with.
On bass for my recordings I have a couple of basses that I use, a 1980 Gibson EBO and a 1970 Vox violin bass. I typically use a Korg bass modeler and go with a Sunn or Ampeg (can't remember ) Model T patch. I also use a Berry V-Amp bass modeler sometimes but prefer the Korg. As an amp, when I choose to mic, I have a 1966 Bassman that I've converted to a combo amp with two ten inch Carvin bass speakers. I use this amp for guitar as well and it doubles well for bass or guitar.
