We Got Angels 2015

We Got Angels 2015

Hello Friends,
I'll be gone soon, for quite a while.
2 weeks ago I heard I am seriously ill, funny, don't feel it that way, just had a nasty cough for which I went to see my new doctor.
New doctor, cause I have moved not so long ago to this sweet little place where I live now, a peaceful rural village where nothing ever happens, like Sleepy Hollow.
So my new docotr studied my medical files. He didn't like the fact that I have been complaining about being tired for more than 10 years now. He sent me to the hospital for X rays and a CT scan.
There's a tumor in my right lung.
More study and tests have made clear the cancer has not spread, it seems to be dormant and of a variety that will not spread esily, so they decided for surgery which will take place soon, within 2 weeks.
So I'll be gone for a while, medic rehabilitation will follow most likely so all in all it might be months before I'm back, in what state we'll have to see.

We Got Angels in Heaven, I'm sure, there's no coincidence I moved and went to see another doctor who takes my complaints more seriously. If I would still see my old doctor there would have been a big chance we'd know nothing - I asked him for X rays and CT scans more than once, but didn't I look good and I am not 25 any more...

So we're lucky so far.

A few days before I heard this news I had started to remix end re master my very first album We Got Angels.
My first love, since that album (1995) my music took a U turn and I never left that new trail, it led me to various places like Reverbnation and finally to Mixposure.

Another thing that feels like a sign: I just uploaded 13 new tracks and my account seems to have reached its limit. I had exactly the needed amount of space left.

Enjoy the music, I'm going to close this book for now, will have to make preparations for the time that comes, if I want to be ready and all set in a little more than a week I'll be very busy too.

Love you guys, Mixposure has brought me lots of fun and entertainment and some of the best Friends ever.

Find the music here, it's special to me, most about Children and War cause it was written during the war in Yugoslavia in the 90's, opening up and concluding with songs about Tienanmensquare June 4 1989.
Here's the album link, the player doesn't show them in the right order but the list of files underneath
shows the tracks in the right order. To my guardian Angel:

Hold the fort till I get back! Love you one and all,

To My Friends on Mixposure

To the bunch that visited Nothin But The Blues Yesterday.

It was Doug's Birthday. When I saw the announcement last week I thought Yes, we'll definitely go and enjoy the music, the chartroom - don't know which is more entertaining but sometimes Doug's choice of music has us all silent - and again it was great.

Changes, many, in life, we have all gone through, must be the reason why we turn to music and make it, to provide for a balance in situations that might otherwise be unbearable - and once we made it through the tough times to sing of happiness and love that is for ever and always.

In 2009 I met Junie on internet, in a game for children, Superpoke Pets, that went off line in 2012. The SPP crowd still exists, there is a bond we'll never forget, names and profiles that carry SPP in them stand out - we know these are people you can always depend on, and call on in times of need, a shoulder to lean on, a word of encouragement, prayer, count on it, we'll be there.

I his radio shows Doug has created something like that, a bunch of people who care, not just for the music but for each others company - it's great to be there and know you can talk about anything - TV will always find a way to make us laugh again. Believe me TV, a chartroom without you is like a guitar missing a string !

My sweet Junie went into hospital tuesday a week ago to have a large polyp removed from her colon, tests showed it was not malignant, praise God.

But her system fails to kick in again, the first few days she was high spirited and happy with the results, now she's on a feeding tube, not IV, but fluid foods directly into her stomach, doctors worry, her system was shocked during the surgery (of course, that'll always happen) and now it's asleep and refuses to wake up.

When I talked to her yesterday she sounded so small and poorly - I didn't want to talk much, but I really needed your company. It worked, the music was great, and the chartroom lively, you guys are terrific.

Cause, like I said, this is or must be why we make music, not just consume it, but provide for a balance in times like these.

Junie's in good hands in the hospital, and I'm in Good Company with you people.

I know there's always a place and time where we can find one another.

Especially in the middle of the night (in USA it's always afternoon or evening, but here these shows are in the sleepless hours) this is wonderful medicine.

I thank God for Friends in times of need and good fortune:

I thank God for Doug and Judi, you all know why:

I thank God that Junie is not alone, she has her family and especially her uncle Jim and aunt Judy Hillin are terrific:

I thank God for giving me a new home - today I had a moment of doubt cause this move drowned out all my finances again but God says: this way there is a balance -

I thank God for music and song:

I thank God for your being there last night, I'm not the only one who goes through motions like these, we all do or have been there.

I give thanks for Mixposure that makes this possible.

Even tho my money has run out now, rest assured I will cross the Great Divide asap  and our smiles will share the same room.

God keep you, one and all.

I salute you from

Koningsbosch Netherlands,

My Old Guitar Is Slowly Dying.

By harryv1, 2013-10-08

My old guitar is slowly dying. Had to restore some little but very important things like the bridge and one of the tuning mechanisms using superglue - it'll hold for a while but it needs new frets, they're totally worn down, sometimes causing sitar like sounds. But the funny thing is, it never sounded so beautiful. My old guitar goes out singing :-)
Just listen.... http://www.mixposure.com/harry-v-singer-songwriter/audio/15567/my-old-guitar-is-slowly-dying
This is an improvisation, took 15 minutes to record. In garageband using plug ins nobody would use for an acoustic guitar I guess.
2 guitar tracks, doubled, one of each no effects, the other using preset for saxophone solo.
And last but certainly not least, I love Camelcrusher, Subtle Master.
It's funny, right at the moment I decide to switch to Protools I find these beautiful sounds in Garageband. Thank God for music. There's no end to it ♡ 4 4 2013
