Remembering
REMEMBERING
THERE ARE THINGS I CANT REMEMBER
BUT THE MEMORIES THAT I HAVE
I WILL CHERISH THEM FOREVER
IN MY HEART AND IN MY HEAD
WHEN WE MET IN MID OCTOBER
FELT I'D KNOWN YOU ALL MY LIFE
THE WAY WE FLIRTED WITH EACH OTHER
WE WERE LAUGHING EVERY NIGHT
LITTLE THINGS ARE SMALL REMINDERS
OF HOW WE MADE EACH OTHER FEEL
MOONBEAMS LIGHTING UP THE DARKNESS
LONGING TO HOLD EACH OTHER TIGHT
YOU AWAKENED ALL MY SENSES
AND I MADE YOU HOWL AT NIGHT
OUR NIGHTS WERE WOVEN INTO DREAMS
BUT WE NEVER CLOSED OUR EYES
TO FEEL YOUR WARM EMBRACE
AND YOUR KISS UPON MY LIPS
WAS LIKE THE DEW UPON A ROSE
THAT MOTHER NATURE KISSED

A few words of wisdom..It seems the older I get, the less I remember.. This is just a little something that I wrote about memories. Whatever you do, don't let them fade.. Write everything down so it's never lost.. Wish someone had warned me.. Anyway, Thank you for taking the time to read.. I hope you enjoy.. If interested, I'm always open for collaborations
Note: I wrote the body & TLT50 came up with the title , which I believe to be very fitting ~ I am very grateful for his help & support
I believe that one's memory is the most precious thing we possess, especially as we grow older. It's such a tragedy when Alzheimer's or similar takes hold and all those sunny days, romances, memories of people, animals, deceased parents, aunts and uncles - washes away like tears in the rain (as the guy in Blade Runner said).
~Beautiful words~......."Remember"....seemed like the perfect title..
