An excellent sound Bill! That standup bass is killer...it's making the stage rumble. The drumming is reserved but tasty. I dig the trumpet and piano...nice work!...

Cool clab Farrell (& Lorne). Love the style of this one. Lorne reigning himself in a bit LOL but a tasty lead nonetheless! Great vox! Much enjoyed.

I'm familiar with this song, as it's one of my favorites from your main page. Is this an alternate version or an earlier take?
This is one of those songs that you visualize in your head because it grabs hold of you and forces you to listen to the story being told.
Kudos,
~Dolce~
I very much enjoy the extensive and at times deeply beautiful keyboard works in this piece. The introductory keys are particularly spectacular. Another "matured" TCP to my ear.
Epic story telling; I feel as if God were speaking directly to me. The music brings it all to light. I am dumbfounded by the sheer depth of this piece! Out of this world!! This is going to be played on my show.
What i love more than anything with this online audio pimping of wears is the "critical" marked at the top of the review menu...
For what ever reason this track was held back from the pimp are most likely from a collective decision whom all i respect very much.
i remember a toon called "sage" being directed in a similar fashion?..lol.
The vocal/lyrics are alluring as always...to pass through this toon in one go without referring to the text would be guess work at best...Henrys ability to project, along with the temperament of the arrangement makes this very theatrical work interesting to follow, it's many zones work well with the topic on hand.
The depth of the composition right out of the gate with the delicate touch of bell that hold it's own going into the verse...for a moment when both vocal and melody of the first 16 bars did seem to have a conflict by way of the melody being stronger than the werd if you will...not that its a bad thing...perhaps it's the "bob rock" thing in me that would hold out for the sake of hook.
Guitar work is as always...tasteful and creative...I love the fact that Jack knows when to hold back, and when to light the pyrotechnics..i tend to think because of the drummer in him..this becomes clear as to the space in-between compliments everyone in the band. the callNanswer placement of the keys and guitar was offset nicely with the overly eq'd bass tone that called out with Chris Squier name all over it...(ya baby)
I did however, miss the melody of the first 16 bars...which i thought would return with a vengeance when the composition returned to the head after the middle 16 (storm) (and i mean the delicate bells)lol
The passing of 11 minutes when quickly and i was smiling all the way guys...unpublished..ha! for now you mean. Thanks for the 'critical' review post...makes listening much more enjoyable.
excellent work. B.
WOW! Prog Rock indeed! This is a fantastic piece here. I get a distinct Genesis vibe with more guitar. There are so many textures here it is great.
Definitely takes me back to the days when the concept album ruled and the content was more important than the length of the song.
Excellent stuff here!
