A bit of a different style from you, Randy. But still some very fine guitar picking with tone and sustain galore!

I like how the melodic intro lead fits so tight with the rhythm guitars, which lets the song flow. Cool vocals and the guitar tones are excellent. Nice work Paul!

- too bad mix was slowly buffering this track to me......
And 5 year later... my comment remains the same.
Really a precious song & performance! *****

Thank you for this song, David. Love, GinaVK
The daughters out here can feel it too, Dave!
Absolutely beautiful !
David,how ya been mate
Well, always difficult for me reviewing songs with such strong emotional ties for the artist.
I feel conventional reviews and rules don't apply.
It's for your daughter.
What others make of that, including me seems to me almost irrelevant.
It's your most treasured moments of a most treasured child.
Can't comment worth a damn on that.
Main thing,as you already know,is simply the reason, the whole reason you wrote it.
It needs nothing more.
Beautiful song for the very best of reasons.
Job done
Nigel
Ballads like these are risky business...Thin line between shallow bombast , blowups of sentiments that should be left understated and the raw emotion straight from the heart ballads by the likes of Tom Waits an John Martyn
This is a well-crafted and intelligently written song and after initial scepticism , I sensed that this was going in the right direction...it sounds very genuine and the story is sincere and heart-felt.Put this song in a good musical and you've got a hit.
Wonderful compositions here David, Help Me Fly is so heart felt!
wow I cant believe I missed this one. Very emotional and heart felt. there are no words for this other than God Inspired thank you for sharing such a personal moment in your life.
I just want to add.. I think it should get more airplay.. A song this Beautiful shouldn't go unheard..
It definately gets 5/5 from me
Hi David, I thought I had reviewed this one.. Have heard it a couple times in chat.. I've read the song info.. so I know this song is very special..It really is Beautiful... Wonderful lyrics written from the heart of a very loving father.. Masterful!!.. Kudos to all involved in the performance of this Beauty..
All The Best, Linda
Very lovely rhythm happening, so relaxing, -I believe I heard some of this before. She has a sweet expressive voice. Most emotive and feels like a stage play, musical, why not, it is so moving. A most wonderful arranging and fine production. The sound level is great. Perfect upfront vocals; and that guitar is very complimenting. It brings joy & a sadness -a diacotomy, but that's just the way it is.
Beautiful production. Superb David.
I love it. She warms my heart. You did well my friend.
An amazing composition. Great synth work, guitar and strings.
EXCELLENT. Love it. Into my faves for sure.
Thanks for the pleasure David.
I felt like I was in a movie. Arthur ends it so solemly neat.
-Your friend & fan. -Vesa. Most inspiring.
Beautiful Song.Great lyrics and impeccable vocal.Remains me of "Abba" high days.
David, this is such a wonderful song, I simply cannot resist playing it later on in my show. Very beautiful arrangement, harmonies and the lady has the voice of an angel. Very touching song!!!
Cheers,
Mike
Geez Dave! This is a tear jerker! My wife and I are 'empty nesters' too... What a beautiful tribute to your daughter! Who's playing the acoustic? Wonderful! Cynthia really shines on this with her vox..Amazing... I Love the way you end the majority of your songs with the flute! It's your signature sound.. Well written and layed man!!!
Very touching, Dave. I'm having a hard time containing myself, since this is such a touching song. Amazing, really. It's a tribute, as I see it. Would love to play this on my show. Please, send it to me via mike@mixposure.com as this (as all your other songs) isn't for download.
Thanks for making my cry this morning (in a good way!).
Cheers,
Mike
Well Thank You David !! I am in tears here............ From someone who lost her Daddy to cancer, this really moved me with memories that you included in your beautiful lyrics. This is a simply lovely song with lovely vocals and written from the heart. I wish you well and much success, a very teary Melsi
Whew...yep...I'm a father and it sure hits home. I couldn't reiterate the below comments and have it come out any better. I'll just add the song title and lyrics are so right to illustrate the sentiment of this topic. Yes..I cried. Means alot Dave! Kudos on this wonderful piece. ~Blake
This is one of my favorite tracks from Dave (all the others are also my favs. lol), but this one especially is touching. I have three daughters of my own, have given two away to a couple of fine son-in-laws (I'm very blessed). The third, Jennifer, is getting married in the summer of 09 (to another fine gentleman, Jay). I've already brought it up to use this song for the Father-Daughter dance, but I'm getting resistance from Jennifer. Not that the song isn't worthy, she's just afraid that she'll start balling and ruin her makeup for the rest of the evening lol. Tough !! This is an excellent and toughing track, absolutely love it !!
William
Wow, this is simply FANTASTIC!!! It did bring tears to my eyes. What a wonderful composition. The lyrics, chord progression, vox, singing style... man, I can't find the words to express what I feel. Superb! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours my friend!
What a beautiful and touching song !! great arrangement and performance by all. Got really moved by the vocals !

Christer

andrew lloyd comes to mind.. I reall yappreciate your scoring here as well.. the guitar lends an undeniable americana.. beautifully classical in a barber.. Ives.. sort of way.. maybe even aaron copland.. gershwin.. you are in the finest company david.. a transcendental new england ellegance about it.. thank you for a truly theraputic session.. it went deep.. peace..
This is a classy song, great performance
Clean guitar sound with just wonderful complete vocals... very delicately delivered with inherent strenght ... a very sweet compostion. Love the strings... and the overall honesty that pours out of this song. Great job Dave & Cynthia.....! "Toss me the the sky" love that line...Henry
WOW!! BEAUTIFUL song and Sentiments. Very nice production and Cynthia has a wonderful voice.....VERY VERY NICE! Having a daughter and Granddaughter....this hit me hard. LOVE IT!! Yea, I actually got cold chills....whew! NICE!!

You wrote one beautiful song here David, and your arrangement is brilliant. Cynthia, as always, delivers a powerful vocal performance. Man, if this doesn't touch your heart, nothing will. I absolutely love it!
What a beautifully touching composition and great performance by all. As a subject close to my heart, you have moved me with this fine work of art. The change at the end is icing on the cake.
This is a great life song. I can see this being played at weddings over and over. Great production and the vocalist does an excellent performance!
