Excellent drums/bass mix! A cool story line and vocals to go with this bluesy rocker. I like the extended lead solos. Good stuff Ronbo!

Drawn in further and further as the tune progresses. Hypnotic vocal delivery. Musically enchanting and suspenseful!

I remember those, they were fun.
We should have another one of those Same Title madness things challenges?
Great Song by the way.

You got a nice feel to this. Liked the arpeggio work set against the slide. Some sweet tonal qualities on your instruments here. Nice work well done
Hi Vesa...I know there's a million reviews for this song already...but I just wanted to say that I really, really like this tune. There's a lot going on at once...but nothing gets in the way...
I love the melody of this the best...I could walk around humming that for days...
Vesa, the dobro sounds great, a very unique piece of music. One of my buddies is a dobro player and we have a blast just jammin' around. The layering of all the instruments with world percussion works very well. Thanks for pointing me to this song! Mikey
It's a nice hot summer day today and the tomato & water mellon plants are doing fine in the garden. The ants and beatles are busy doing their thing and so is Vesa! Nice one my friend... fit right in to this day!
Henry
Those quality reviewers before me got to all of the good stuff. You always find a unique rhythmic take on whatever you put your fingers to. Most intriguing that Clayville could trace this back several hundred years across several continents. That's a lot of heritage to haul around, my friend, but thanks for sharing it with us.
Hi Vesa...
Such an easy listen. I love dobro anyway...and you play it very well. A few things almost sound like mandolin in there...and the picking is crisp and clean. I like the spartan production on this...it works. Great job.
Hugs...Mike (NAV)
i can imagine this being played 150 years ago, just a few friends after a long day working. people were grateful and happy just to be alive. it's sad that we have moved so far away from a simple life. i am glad you had the vision to create this.
VESA.......this is ABSOLUTELY CLASSIC!!! The percussion track is killer and PERFECT!!! The mood you set with this track is so nice.........Man, I'm smilin', from ear to ear......this is a FEEL GOOD song. Your playing is REAL FINE here. Everything is working to Perfection. I LOVE THIS TRACK!!!!! I am HOPING for a DL
Rob
Always interesting to me how different people hear different influences. The farther back you dig (say: rock to blues to Appalachian to Acadian to Celtic to Iberian to African) the more affinities come together. The syncopated fingerpicking has a southern Africa feel to me, but a bit of Central America too. The slide drifts from blues to Hawaiian, and the inspired mandolin has a backwoods mountain music feel to me. An international circle of rhythm and melody and fun. Nice one!
You have a very unique and interesting sound!! I like the slide and trebel picking. It has a nice Spanish sounding flair with a Southwestern style influence. LOVE it!!! WAY cool! Holley
Man, this song really made my day. Great counterpoint. I agree with Willylumplumps: ther is a lot going on, but nothing gets in the way.
