Congratulations to Janey Neal for being the Mixposure Artist of the Month! Janey is a superb singer with an original sound. Her music definitely stands out and this is an artist I truly believe can sell some cd's!

Biography
Janey Neal, a singer/song writer, as well as an accomplished producer. One of the most unique, soulful, and unorthodox artists to emerge from Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a catalog spanning from Neo Soul, to Rock, and even some Country/Folk music.
She has worked with countless artists such as JKwon, Meech, and Kip Blackshire, as well as upcoming and talented local artists from Minneapolis such as Rico Nevotion, Katana and many others from the mainstream to underground music arenas, using her talents to enhance their already great works.
With her up-front, in your face, tell it like it is lyrics that listeners can connect to, along with a sultry, yet sweet and calming vocal presentation she is sure to soothe your soul.
Not only is she an accomplished singer, Janey also a formidable instrumentalist, playing the piano as well as an assortment of woodwind instruments.
She is one of the most gifted and talented artist in the country no doubt; as she writes all of her material, and takes the time to give it her personal touch that is unlike any artist in the industry today. Many have compared her to Annie Lennox, Sade, Macy Grae and other soulful Neo-Soul/R&B artist of old and new, but Janey is in a class all by herself.
Janey has now embarked on a new path, teaming up with super producer, Miguel A. Wilder, one of the world renowned Wonda Twinz, from Ohio, putting her song writing and his production and music making skills to use in creating Demos In The Rough, a website dedicated to writing, composing, and producing full, original, current tracks in all genres to market to the mainstream music industry, as well as up and coming artists, looking for the perfect song to boost their musical endeavors.
Janey is also stepping back into the music limelight with her third CD entitled “All Purpose Music” releasing the first track “My Superman” Ft. Zohezie, a mid tempo dance track that tells the story of one woman’s devotion, and dedication to a strong, dedicated, and supportive man whom she loves with all her heart.
Following that up with “Across The Table”, a smooth, soulful, R&B track that touches on the want and need for an understanding of life, love, and relationship between two people trying to work through a difficult time in their lives.
Her music is perfect for driving or being with your loved one, next to a fireplace drinking some good wine. This mix of elements, gives Janey a very personal and unique style, one you can easily hear in her emotional, and diverse material.

<p><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva;">Well Facebook made a change somewhere down the line and it stopped our Audio Players from working on Facebook. I spent about an hour last night playing with it and got it working again. That is the good news. The bad news is Facebook caches all of the pages and I think only Zuckerberg knows how long that is until they expire and cache the pages again. Facebook offers a developer page that will refresh the caches from an individual page standpoint but not an entire site. In other words, I can't snap my fingers and make it work!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva;">Please give it a couple of days and you will be able to embed the players back on Facebook again. <p>Greetings all!</p><p>I received a message from <a href="http://www.mixposure.com/Tribe_Pendragon/">David Pendrago</a>n about a project he has put together for Michael Foster from the band <a href="http://www2.mixposure.com/AVALANCHE/">Avalanche</a>.</p><p>As some of you know, Michael is in the hospital and could use a little bit of support to get him back on track. Some of you may remember when we did the Songs for Rob (Grant) when he was in the hospital a few years back. This is the same thing. Healing through music!</p><p>Michael has been a huge part of Mixposure.com and I think this is a great time for us to step in and thank him for being a part of Mixposure and supporting us through the years. I am going to see if I can find the interview Mike K did with him and we can get that posted for everyone to listen to.</p><p>So please follow this post on Facebook - <a class="autourl" href="http://www.facebook.com/groups/524345730945574/?notif_t=group_r2j">http://www.facebook.com/groups/524345730945574/?notif_t=group_r2j</a> and post a link to your tune on Mixposure and hopefully some well wishes for Michael. Scotswolfe being my recording persona,my real name being Jim McMurtrey.I answer to Jim or Mac.
Started picking out one finger melodies on the piano by ear around age six.Still play by ear as I never seemed to had the patience to learn to read music.Many times I wished that I had forced myself to learn.Maybe someday yet...heh.
Began playing in bar blues/rock bands around Fort Worth in the late sixties.Moved to East Texas in the eighties where I played for several years with country/rock bands.Spent a few years in Oklahoma,then moved back to my hometown and settled here.
Finally I have the time to do what I enjoy most,composing ,creating and recording my music.
I only play keyboards,piano,organ,synths.Started using analog synths in the eighties.Now my studio consists of the bare necessities...a Casio WK-1800 as a standalone keyboard and midi controller,Computer and Mixcraft6,a very affordable and versatile recording program with virtual instruments to expand my virtual orchestra.
Stumbled across Mixposure a month back and now it feels like a second home.Friendly folks and awesome musicians here.I've posted my music on a couple of other sites,but none of them compare to Mixposure,not even close.Plan to be here for a long while .
