<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Hey Everyone!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">I am hoping you can help spread the word on something new we are doing at Mixposure. I have wanted to add this for some time and finally got around to it. We have added a new "Artist" if you will for Comedians. So comedians can now <a href="http://www.mixposure.com/signup.php?mode=signup&template=signup_comics.tpl&quota_id=16">signup</a> and upload their stand-up shows they have done live or from their own recording studio. Eventually what we would like to do is create a new hour long radio show of various comics. I think it would be a lot of fun!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">So please add it to your Facebook, Twitter, MySpace or any other form of communication you can think of to help spread the word!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Our host has made some changes to the server and I think things are running better now. I noticed before when clicking on submit after leaving a review it would take awhile to add the comment. It is updating pretty quick for me now. Is anyone else seeing any slow downs?</span></p>

One such idea is giving their music away and taking donations instead. I know Ryan Galloway mentioned this last week on Mike K's radio show stating that most people give more than what you would expect. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva;">We have added a new field called "PayPal Donate Button" located in your control panel under Artist > Modify Artist. If you enter your paypal address in the field, a PayPal Donate button will appear on your Music Home Page and the Song Focus Page. The listener can enter in any amount they would like to donate to you. <p><span style="font-size: medium;">Just a head up everyone. I think everyone has seen a bit of a slowdown on Mixposure lately. Slow page loads and players buffering etc. I thought it might be linked to the new chat application but in speaking to our host, it appears they have been trying to resolve this for almost two weeks now. They said it appears a fix is coming tonight so we will go from there. <p><span style="font-size: medium;">We just installed a new chat module so you can talk to your friends when they are online. You can click the wrench to adjust your settings like sounds or availability (offline/Busy etc.) and a few other things. <div><p><span style="font-size: medium;">A big congratulations to <a href="http://www2.mixposure.com/bri-an/">Bri-an</a> for being our January 2011 Artist of the Month. Bri-an has been around Mixposure long before cavemen were beating on animal skins for drums. His song "The Rat" has been an internet favorite for some time. I also had the pleasure of working with him on a song I wrote called "Desperate Man" which was nominated for 2 Grammies. Ok not even one Grammy but it sounded good!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><a href="http://www2.mixposure.com/bri-an/">Bri-an</a> is a remarkable musician and is really multi-tallented with all of the instruments he plays. <p><img src="http://www.mixposure.com/images/mix_happy_new_year.jpg" alt="" width="540" height="405" /></p><p><span style="font-size: small;">Happy New Year Everyone! 2010 was a great year for Mixposure and a wonderful year for me personally. Granted my job went to India but it allowed my family and I to move back to Denver which is really where we wanted to be. It is going to take awhile to get used to the cold here. It is a cool 10 degrees outside right now and I have lost all sensation in my toes but it is good to be home. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: small;">I want to thank all of the Admins, Mods, DJ's and most importantly the members for being a part of Mixposure. Without you guys, it would be very lonely here! Your dedication is truly admirable. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: small;">We keep growing every year and it just keeps getting better. The quality of musicians we have here is truly remarkable. Not to mention the fact that I have never seen so many people willing to lend their expertise to anyone. There is a saying that "knowledge is power" and most do not want to share that knowledge for fear of losing power. The members here share their knowledge like no others I have ever seen before so for that I thank you.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: small;">I hope everyone had a great 2010 and my sincere condolences to those who lost friends and family in 2010. We now have a new year to look ahead to with new challenges and opportunities.
