From the menu links under Mix Radio > Listen Now > Mix Music Players or you can just click <a href="http://www.mixposure.com/?t=mixstream_radio">here</a>, we have embedded most of the players used today. The Winamp link may also open up in iTunes depending on your settings. If a player does not work for you, you may need to download missing plug-ins. This is kind of one of those must listen to musicians. <a href="http://www2.mixposure.com/Steve_Carter/">Steve Carter</a> posted some tunes of he and a few others jamming with Willie Nelson on vocals. I listened to the two songs posted and was blown away. I just wanted to thank Steve for sharing these tunes. <p><span style="font-size: medium;">I hate the thought of even bringing up reviews but I was asked about this again so I thought I would make the change for those interested. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">So members have said Mixposure is very kind on reviews when they were really looking for critical reviews. To try and resolve this issue, we have come up with the following solution. When creating a song, you will see a field called Review Feedback Type. There will be 3 entries in the drop down Normal, Constructive and Critical. If you are fine with the normal Mixposure Review Process, leave the default value of normal. If you choose any of the other three options, on the review form an image will appear with the review type requested. Not sure if we need all these values? Thoughts?</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><img src="http://www.mixposure.com/images/constructive.png" alt="" width="97" height="28" /><img src="http://www.mixposure.com/images/critical.png" alt="" width="61" height="28" /></span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Now the one thing I will say is that if you request a Critical Review, please do not expect roses and a card. Mixposure has many professional musicians and if requested, they can and will critique a song to your expectations. If you do not like a review however, please just delete it. Sending a message to the reviewer telling them they do not know what they are talking about means you have chosen the wrong type of review feedback to receive.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Now the good thing about this is that if you are a beginning musician, you probably do not want to put down Critical for your review type. One of the things we will be adding in this week is a Product Review Area. I have been testing it over the last few days and I think it will be pretty cool. You will have the ability to write a product review on any gear you own and rate it accordingly. This will help out our existing members for making purchases or staying away from products that you think just suck. Now the cool thing about this is that with a few modifications to this code, we should be able to make a pretty sweet For Sale Area where you can sell your gear.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Per our last message, we are still looking for some writers! I received a bunch of questions on this so I was probably not as clear as I should have been. By writers, we are looking for the equivalent of Magazine Writers/Authors. Have a passion about the music industry? Want to share that passion? Maybe you work in the industry and have suggestions to help artists break into the industry? Do you work as an audio engineer and want to share your mixing and mastering skills? Do you attend a lot of concerts and would like to review them? We have many musicians on here with a wealth of knowledge. We are looking for members to share that knowledge once or twice a month. What is your passion? Want to share it? <p><span style="font-size: medium;">Hey I just wanted to say thanks to all of the members that have signed up for subscriptions. There have been a bunch lately and it is greatly appreciated. I know compared to other sites we do not charge a lot and that is because we are not greedy lol. We just need the site to pay for itself and to help fund some development work. So for that I thank all of you. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">A few things that will be coming to Mixposure soon is a new wide screen video player that can be embedded in social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and some others. I am pushing the developer to make an audio player that will do the same thing. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">There is another feature that we will be implementing soon also but I do not want to discuss it until I know it is a reality. The developer is working on it now and I spoke to him yesterday. It is never as easy as you picture it in your head or on paper. Steve Gilmore & Jim Mason will be doing some detailed reviews so I feel we have these kind of reviews pretty much covered. Some of the other things we would consider are Mixing/Mastering articles, Guitar/Bass/Music Instruments in general etc. I think you guys get the idea.
